Floyd knew what was up, he wanted absolutely nothing to do with Desert Storm!

Though I've always favored Floyd in this hypothetical, I always wanted to see the fight happen. Bradley has the grit and determination to make it close, if nothing else.

"Held his own" <> Outclassing. Thus why many people feel (I'm not one) that Floyd lost the first Maidana fight. Cotto's body work gave Floyd problems, that's widely agreed by those who actually saw the fight. Part of the reason Canelo got so handily schooled is that he was headhunting most of the night, which is a mistake against Floyd. Bradley isn't half the body puncher that cotto is and Floyd went toe to toe with cotto, again Bradley has nothing for floyd,.......except for maybe his will(and not even that matches Floyd's will) but his lack of punching power be his downfall

          Let's analyze that.

Mayweather/Castillo 1: Do I really need to go here?
please do, Floyd showed an excellent inside game that fight against one of the greatest inside fighter of that era
Mayweather/Ortiz: Ortiz was causing some problems for Money until he started making mistakes.(oritiz didn't do nothing but eat right hands and headbutt on the inside)

Mayweather/Guerrero: While Mayweather was in no way going to lose against Guerrero, Guerrero's inside game was solid. Problem is he kept getting caught by counters too clean.

Mayweather/Maidana 1: Do I really need to go here?again, please go there....Floyd was landing body shots at will against maidana which is why maidana eventually got worn out down the stretch

Mayweather/Pacquiao, Round 4: First thing Floyd did and does, is cover up after getting tagged on the inside.Floyd didn't get hit on the inside, poochiao parried his jab from the outside and landed a beautiful counter left hand

I'm a huge Mayweather fan, but come on. This isn't 135 Floyd we're talking about here.

I seriously don't think you like Bradley, given you're criticizing a fight that was 2013 Fight of the Year almost across the board with notable reporting outlets and fans. Ruslan is one dimensional certainly, but he's no bum. His chin outshines Margarito and Cotto put together. ruslan is a bum, period. That guy found a way to lose to algieri...he's nothing but a heavy-bag

And Bradley went through that WAR and in the same year, proceeded to school Marquez - a guy Manny has struggled with in 4 fights despite PEDs: got a gift draw in one, a gift decision in another, and got knocked out by in the 4th. didn't Floyd toy with Marquez after a two year layoff? And let's not kid ourselves Bradley didn't just walk over marquez..... And we're talking about an older slower version of Marquez

Bradley knocked out Brandon Rios. You know, the guy who had NEVER been stopped or knocked out? The guy that Manny couldn't even hurt? And I don't want to hear about Rios' shape. He was out of shape against Pacquiao, it's not an excuse. Bradley's a fireman, that's all.lmao Brandon Rios .......big fat flabby rios

Bradley's had one questionable fight and that's Chaves, the dirtiest fighter in the division (ask Rios). Other than that, he's been caliber against who he's fought. one questionable fight? Bwahahahahaha

Also I find it funny people criticize Bradley's fight against Ruslan yet praise Crawford for the Gamboa fight when he did the same damn thing and got caught just as bad; staggered at quite a few points. Double standards.you won't find me doing that.....I think Crawford is overrated tbh
My response is in the bold

Floyd was clinching for dear life against Mosley any time Mosley started flurrying. I don't call that good inside work. Later rounds.

IMO Floyd's performance against Cotto was nothing special especially considering how well Pacquiao did and, certainly, Canelo made (IMO) easy work of Cotto. Where Floyd shined is dealing with Cotto's power taking shots. It shows that Floyd is more durable, he just chooses not to get hit. But it doesn't negate the reality: the body work was starting to get to Floyd until Cotto backed off the strategy.

How was it a better version of Marquez? The man was nearly 20lbs over walking weight, you got Floyd up there on RARE occasion failing to make weight in a catchweight fight he demanded, refusing a fight night weigh in. You ask me? Floyd did that on purpose because he didn't want to face the Dinamita that was schooling Pacquiao. He wanted a drained version and he got it.

Bradley faced a game Marquez. A split decision was fair, but it was a schooling because of the caliber of opponent. Thus why there was no point in a rematch. Marquez can't handle distance fighters and he's not great cutting off the ring.

            1. Bradley beats Pacquiao (mostly because Pacquiao didn't show up properly and didn't take it seriously)
            2. Bradley goes to war with Ruslan and beats him
            3. Bradley outboxes the guy fresh off of putting Pacquiao to sleep
            4. Bradley outboxes Pacquiao for 5 rounds in the rematch
            5. Bradley knocks out a guy who'd never been knocked out AND whom Manny couldn't even damage.

As far as the Chaves fight, yes, that's the only one where Bradley's performance was in question. In the first Pacquiao fight he was just clumsy because of Pacquiao's speed and angles; so was Mosley but not as bad. In the Vargas fight he was smooth as butter until that last punch, and it didn't matter. We weren't really going to see Chavez/Taylor happen.

I'm still waiting to hear something other than straight hatin about why Timothy Bradley doesn't deserve a fair shot with a trainer that gives a crap about his success. People need to get over their hurtassness over the first Pacquiao fight. It happened. Let it go.

Bradley is champion. He has the heart of a champion and unlike some fighters (Vladimir Klitchko), his fights are almost never boring because he wants the fans to enjoy the fight. He deserves the shot.
