Pacquiao vs Broner reportedly now in "serious" negotiations; no longer just in talks

We all know Arum wanted an in-house fight. He wanted Crawford because of the potential of handing over the torch. But he's too lazy to promote a relatively unknown guy, so he settles for Bradley. We also know that Arum is the king of rematches and trilogies. So that's self-explanatory.

I don't know what happened here and why Broner is suddenly in the mix. Is Pac's contract over or what?

I don't deny that Broner is the better money fight.

This would be a very smart move from Manny.
      1.It's a big fight
2.Pac is better than Broner so he can win
3.He can fight at 140 again or even bring his ass up a bit.

Pac should tell Arum to fuc k off. His last fight of his career shouldn't be him being used to prop up another Top Rank fighter.

Plus people would rather watch this than a Crawford or Bradley rematch AND Pac can look good in his last fight. The other two options will likely result in boring, forgettable fights.

I find it hard to believe Pacquiao is losing any sleep over Crawford. In fact, that may be the problem. Manny would struggle to get out of bed to train for him. Manny will choose an opponent he can get up for. Unless of course Arum chooses for him.

Would MUCH rather see Manny face Crawford...After the way Manny/Floyd trolled the fans for years and then both didn't even bother to actually scrap when they got into the ring, Manny should go out on the top with a big win to get some respect back... Floyd doens't care about respect, that's why he fought berto....

Not that I wouldn't mind seeing Broner eat straight lefts all night... I have a feeling, however, that we get neither of these fights... and we're stuck with the freakin fireman...

I agree, I don't think Manny is afraid of Crawford... I don't think there are any "scary" fights for Manny at 140 or 147. I doubt Manny trains hard one way or another though... He was lazy in his training camp for Floyd for Christ sakes.

That's nonsense. Crawford struggled with a virtually unknown guy in his last fight. I was expecting an early KO considering the hype the guy is getting. You can imagine if that was Pac he's fighting. Postol alone beats Crawford. He's got too many holes that can be exploited.

I was actually hoping Pac picks Crawford, instead of Bradley, who were the only in-house choices.

Make no mistake. Pac team was looking for a money fight. Crawford can't offer that.
