There's actually quite a few fighters/promoters who openly admit they won't fight Golovkin.
    • Dibella said it a few times until finally "I'm not sending a champion who is 38-years-old - after a year plus layoff - into a ring with this guy."
    • There's a recent video of Eddie Hearn talking about making a deal with Golovkin to fight Barker and Golovkin basically taking the fight at no expense to Hearn only to have Barker's trainer say "**** off".
    • Then the Eubank/Saunders press conference where Saunders tells Eubank that GGG would beat them both on the same day, and Bill later saying he needs 18 months before he'd fight Golovkin.
    • And then there's Ahmet Oner on Sturm: "I never spoke to the WBA. Felix Sturm, he was with Universum, and when he wanted to leave Universum to be his own promoter - they approached me and they asked me how I could help them not fight Golovkin. So what happened is, I found a guy and spoke to him. And he offered Sturm a deal and said [to Sturm] "we can ask [the WBA] for super champion [status] and then you don't need to fight him.' And that's what happened," Oner told BoxingScene.com.

still doesnt change the fact that Chavez jr ruined his career and left em a cripple.

that's his opinion, nothing else, Sergio never even sparred ggg, there are other mws that fought ggg and think otherwise like Monroe or Rosado...
they are all nothing but opinions...

Sergio went on to beat a diminished Pavlik, then avoided Dmitry Pirog for next couple years. Martinez declined Golovkin as an opponent in Argentina over Murray and later sold his title to a JMW in Cotto, so that Miguel could pretend to be something he openly admitted that he wasn't - a MW with no intention of ever fighting GGG. Segio's MW reign more/less blocked Golovkin from the opportunity to become the lineal MW champion from the beginning to the end, and it's residual effect continues to do so.
I understand, but this is offtopic. Or an explanation, if you want, of why Sergio chosen Murray instead of GGG.

I get it man. What would you do being Sergio? you broke your hand and your knee on a fight, you needed surgery, you're not feeling 100% at all. Fight the biggest threat for less money?

The fighters at 160 are terrified of him, but they are also an average lot to be very honest, GGG should go to 168 where no one will ask for 10 million or place unfair catchweight demands on him. People say 168 is average too and it's true to a degree but those bigger guys would be more willing to take him on and when GGG beats them he can add the whole "I'm knocking out bigger guys" thing to his mystique.

That's the solution if he is as great as you guys believe he is. It doesn't make sense for him and his fans to shed tears at 160. He would not be the first fighter to leave his natural weight class because he was being avoided. He will not go down as great if he remains at 160, his supposed biggest challenger, Mr 155, is some way off from greatness himself and honestly who really thinks he can beat GGG in a fair contest at 160??

defending a title at cw is wrong no matter what... aside from that, I don't see how is that preventing the fight from happening after ggg has stated numerous times that he can make 154 easy
, if canelo wanted no part of ggg he could have already dropped the title and say he will not move to 160 just yet... its pretty clear is either 155 now or 160 down the road, and I believe ggg picked the right choice...
did you hear ggg or his team saying canelo is ducking??? cuz they are very vocal when something like that happens...
