Withthis kinda thinkn its not surprising HBO let Merchant go,i mean this is that kinda thinkn that spoils fights...i.e. KovaStevenson..instead of facing each other, theyll face different opponents on the same night, SAME CARD...INSTEADOF FACING EACH OTHER. No wonder HBO got a new sports/boxing exec recently..lets hope for the right fights at the right time.

Forget what Merchant said, screw that mind set.

He ducks him, people will know why.
Based on style, form AND LEVEL OF OPPOSITION...GGG is nowhere near the level Canelo is at, its gonna be nice hearing ur excuses after Canelo schools GGG. Just a heads up, dont be surprised when Canelo doesnt wilt after a rd..maybe after that youll start considering the class/levels these guys operate at...bcuz ur saying the guy who who feasts on knocked off contenders will feast on the guy who faces and beats top rated foes...and from a boxing standpoint, in better fashion also. Thats you, man. Canelos the proven fighter in this equaition..GGGs the question mark.

Really, all three Mayweathers come out talking about GGG this week, all negative, and all trying to shiiiit on the GGG v Canelo fight.

I'm not over estimating Jack. In as little as a week, three comments about GGG from the Mayweathers, all talking as if Canelo is being thrown into fighting GGG too soon. That he is not ready.

As I said, that doesn't make sense. Not only is Canelo not fighting GGG coming straight off of his Cotto fight, but Floyd fought a Canelo that was two years younger.

I also said, and this is where reading comprehension skills are useful, that I didn't think GGG beating Floyd would take anything away from Floyd. I guess you should have followed the thread, you may have picked that up.

What it does appear like though, for some reason the Mayweathers are actively trying to give Canelo cover.

It's not because they suddenly like Canelo, Goldenboy, De La Hoya. Oh no, De La Hoya just sliced Floyd up (in a letter, claimed Floyd waited the best fighters out).

Naw, the Mayweathers believe, as they've said in the past, that GGG is part of a white conspiracy.

Floyd even said, "they" are saying GGG is the best, so Canelo should wait.

Of course Floyd would say that, that's how he do things.

And for not giving a damn about GGG, Floyd, his pops, his uncle, all seem to have GGG name in their mouth.

Floyd's retired, why does he care if they shine the light at GGG.

Funny how Floyd is ducking GGG by not going up two divisions to fight GGG, but Canelo isn't ducking GGG who is only 6 pounds away. That fight needs time to cook, but Mayweather should jump right in there. Lol! And why isn't anyone demanding Pacman go fight GGG??? Man this old fool has lost his mind!

Marination, build yourself up, money ain't right.....I never heard these terms at all in the 80's.

                [QUOTE=Progrssive_Jedi;16350227].

Man your so full of it, let me explain it to you on the real you delusional clown

1: "all three mayweathers"? First of there are more than just THREE mayweathers and secondly when did jeff/roger speak? all i heard was snr and jr, or are you just exaggerating for added affect?

2:And what YOU don't understand is that when floyd TALKS he is talking as a PROMOTER (why you think he dissed arum and oscar regarding how they treat fighters?) so when he says canelo is being pushed IT HAS NOTHING to do with fear of GGG outshining anyone it's just ANOTHER way to throw SHADE at oscar, floyd even said THE JUDGES for GB fights are BS and how something is up (he talked about his fight with oscar, canelo and canelo vs cotto) you would understand this but your too busy trying to make something out that suits YOUR AGENDA.

3: Fighting floyd mayweather is NOT the same as fighting GGG, it has NOTHING to do with age, floyd was a blow up welter (although he IS better than golovkin in almost EVERY aspect of boxing) GGG is a CAREER MIDDLEWEIGHT, tell me ONE MIDDLEWEIGHT canelo has faced? when has canelo EVER fought at the 160? #REHTORICAL

4: I aint comment on GGG vs floyd, i don't care about none of that (how is this relevant)?

5: YOU said floyd WAITS people out, and i told you SPEAK ON IT, clarify please? don't just repeat what oscar said. So tell me WHO has the reading problem? and oscar aint slice NOTHING up, oscar was out here SALTY talking BS. When floyd vs canelo was HAPPENING he said the 152 catch-weight would BE USEFUL to canelo, now it's an excuse for why canelo lost? then he did an interview and said (back in 2014) WHEN floyd FACES manny ALL CRITICISM will go away, NOW things changed? and HOW can floyd WAIT someone out? floyd's been PAST PRIME since 07, he was TWO YEARS older than manny (canelo 25, Golovkin 33, is that the same)? . What does he have a hot tub time machine? and LOL at you using a salty crack head's opinion who LOST almost ALL of his big fights and has had MULTIPLE gifts throughout his career as your source of evidence.

6: Mayweather said Golovkin is the white hope. is he LYING? lol certain "fans" on THIS site calling him the african killer and the n****r killer are these LIES? him being called #1 P4P by MANY "experts" yet his resume is pure GARBAGE? them saying he is a PPV STAR then FLOPPING with 97,000 buys, are these LIES? why aint WILDER who has a TRASH RESUME just like Golovkin not getting this love? is it cause he RESEMBLES a white man or is it a coincidence? you tell me

In 2017 GGG will just turn 35. And Canelo waiting GGG out is just like Floyd weak ass plan to greatness.

Forbid Canelo take in GGG while dude is still KO dudes.

Canelo and his fans sound weak as hell talking like this.
Man you STILL talking BS? LOL

1: hmm was canelo doing big numbers? NOPE but he was MAD popular being he was mexican GOOD and CONSTANTLY on floyd's undercards ALL it needed was FLOYD to break records, let me say that AGAIN it needed FLOYD to make it what it was can GGG be compared? NO 97, 000 PPV'S DON'T FORGET THAT FOOL. "has the supposed next big thing claiming business" AHHHHHHHHHHHHH

2: "And Canelo waiting GGG out is just like Floyd weak ass plan to greatness." WHO ELSE floyd WAIT OUT (damn that argument is so WEAK and it aint YOURS, it's RECYCLED BS) OSCAR? LOL when oscar was a WELTER floyd was a JR LIGHTWEIGHT, the ONLY time floyd could fight dude was? IN 06/07 and even THEN he had to MOVE up to 147 to get CLOSE to 154 (which he couldn't make, still can't) who else? mosley? when was shane PRIME? 135 right? shane AND floyd were BOTH P4P floyd at 130 and shane at 135, floyd STEPPED to him for a fight and he DECLINED #FACTS

3: Who needs to beat Golovkin to be seen as GREAT? canelo? ahhhhhhhhhh canelo would have to do MUCH MORE than beat a robotic bum killer who's afraid to move up and test himself to be seen as GREAT LOL

                  #CLOWN

"Marinate", "cook"--**** this sport is cannibalizing itself.
"Canelo isn't ready yet"--dude has had over 50 professional fights.

I've always been a huge fan of Ironman triathlon as a sport (it's a weird one), but boxing is something that hooked me back in high school w Prince Naseem, then in college when I watched the build up to De la Hoya/Vargas. After that, it was like a bad ass fight after another. Pac, Floyd, Gatti, Ward, B-Hop, RJJ, Shane, Vernon, Mayorga, Marquez, Morales, MAB, and on and on.
It seemed like a never ending fight night.
Now, it's just a bunch of *****-made cooking terms to justify "fighters" not "fighting" each other; seems a ***** ironic, eh?
And regarding money--if GGG/Canelo does 1.5 mill PPV and it's as compelling as most assume it will be, then it sets up a potential rematch, and establishes both as PPV stars. Neither is a PPV star right now. Put Canelo in against Lemeuix, and see how many buys he gets. Put him in against the 3rd highest grossing PPV star (Cotto), and watch people give Canelo all the credit.
GGG/Canelo need each other bc they both hold the same title right now.
                    Why is this even controversial?!

....which is why Merchant is wrong and anyone who is a fan of the sport (and not just a fan of a fighter) wants this fight.
That's the point of the two fighting. They both have question mark until they square off.
