Overall I think GGG gots the best legit 160lber resume is the funny thing while still myself feeling like GGG should have a better resume. I feel if people like Martinez, Cotto & now Canelo & their people didn't always use their superior position to avoid GGG or HBO had pushed harder he'd have the best resume outright or he'd have at least been given the deserving fights to have the best resume outright if he was to come up short.

GGG's got more former 160lb champions on his resume then anyone. GGG's got more 160lb contenders on his resume than anyone. Really the only reason there is an argument that GGG's resume is lacking is cuz even Jacobs now has a better W than GGG has & he's sorta been like a 160lb Deontay Wilder with how he's been moved.
What future hall of famer is at 160 currently? Canelo? Lil ass cotto?

If you don't think Cotto is getting into the HOF 4 or 5 years after he retires you DKSAB. Gatti is in the HOF ffs.

And I almost just outright said they are both HOFers cuz the bar is so low to get in the HOF that I suspect you could argue Canelo gets in if he retired tomorrow too.

Lil ass Cotto at 160, at this stage of his career is NOT a great win. I don't care if he beat old ass crippled Martinez. The only thing that that win does for GGG is fill his pockets. Gatti being the hof is blasphemous and anybody that kaab would agree. Canelo isnt a hof imo either. We need to stop acting like the the so called fighters who "ducked" him are good fighters.....95% of them were C level and b level at best anyways.

Go argue with the IBHOF. Their the ones letting anyone who won 3 fights on HBO in the HOF not me. I just call it as I see it.

when you're really, really good at boxing, people start to shift the goal lines. thaty's when you know you've arrived.
He is in a very bad weight class and there is no standard he is being held to. MW sucks, and no A fighter should fight there to build a legacy. Canelo and GGG can fight eachother for a challenge, after that there is nothing but waiting for 154lbers to move up or move up themselves. Otherwise MW is trash for any A fighter's standard. It is not a GGG exclusive thing.

His resume is a joke for someone who has been pro for what, 10 years plus? Isn't he like 34? His best win is.....????? The Canadian guy or that Cuban-American guy?

I think it's about context. His resume is normally brought up during discussions of his P4P status, which it should be. If you want to call him the best in the world, don't get mad when people critique him.

I've bashed GGG in the past but in recent times ,18 months or so, he has fought Macklin, Geale, Murray and Lem, these are the leading mw contenders of his day, what more can he do? Canelo has just moved to mw...if fighting at 155 is described as mw lol

Cotto too but he had 3 fights and made it quite clear after the geale fight that ggg was not for him.

There's literally no one else of note at mw apart from Saunders and Eubank who are gradually making their way to world level.
