He doesn't have to fight Barrera, he can fight someone like Juergen Braehmer or Felix Valera (rated #1 by the WBA), even though they are both southpaws, it would still give him credibility if he beats those opponents.

There are many options for Ward to choose from in the LHW division that are much better than Periban.

Andre Ward's camp is coming to the table with $300k-$400k, and no one at 175 seems to have the guts to step forward and take career-defining money (Stevenson, Chavez Jr, Pascal, Kovalev, and possibly Fonfara are the only fighters who should be beyond that much money).

Hard to take you seriously when you have a shirtless boxer taking a vacation selfie in your avatar.

How is $400k a low-ball offer when Gonzalez or Sullivan Barrer likely haven't ever even earned $100k for a fight? gtfoh

WTF these responses. When people don't have arguments they use this kind of distractions.

Most of these guys know that they'll lost to ward, so they want to be compensated for it (ala Edwin Rodriguez), no one is going to risk their record for "peanuts".
Please name the fighters at 175lbs who earn beyond $300k-$400k per fight, lol.

Edwin Rodriguez got paid what he ended up getting paid, after tough negotiations, because he'd already earned his first million dollar payday, was a young undefeated rising contender, and had Al Haymon in his corner.

The fact that you seem to think that Andre Ward, to simply get guys to fight him, is supposed to be offering up 3 and 4 times career purses for guys to even consider fighting him is ridiculous.

                      Ward never offered $400 K.
