does GGG vs Canelo break the 2 million PPV sales?

Let's say they fight on September 2016 with a stacked card.

    -Main Event:Canelo vs Golovkin
-Co-Feature:Roman Gonzalez vs Juan Francisco Estrada
    -Undercard:Luis Ortiz vs Andy Ruiz

Not a chance, GGG is not big enough. Canelo Cotto did under 1mill and Cotto is a bigger name than GGG plus there was the mexican-pr rivalry.

And the stacked card means nothing. Casuals never ever heard of roman gonzales or estrada. And nobody cares about ortiz as was shown in the numbers for ortiz last fight

Damn, Canelo would really be carrying that card. I say around 600k.

If they put Mayweather vs. Pacquaio II or Mayweather vs. Cotto II on the undercard, it would breake two million. Otherwise, it won't even sell 500,000 PPVs because Golovkin is a nobody and Alvarez, on his own, is nothing more than a mid-level draw.

Only if the Russian mob and the Mexican Cartel scare 1.5 million other people into buying it.

                  Easily...

                  97,000 + 800,000 = 2 million

After that poopie first fight between Mayweather & Pacquiao, I doubt # II would break 2 million. Cotto vs Mayweather II wouldn't do it either, especially after Cotto's loss to Alvarez. Golovkin vs Canelo would do much better than 500k. Even though it wasn't PPV, Canelo vs Kirkland got 2.1 million views, though Kirkland has a suspect chin and limited skills. Golovkin is an undefeated KO machine & has yet to be visibly hurt. Canelo's a huge Mexican star. A PPV between them may not do 2 million, but it will definitely at least nearly double 500k.
