    Move On

Mr. Roach Cotto lost plain and simple. Were the scores way to wide? Yes. They should have been 8 rounds to 4 or 7 rounds to 5. But there is no way Cotto won.

Just because your fighter threw more punches does not mean he won. The majority of the fight he was landing his jab, but nothing else followed up. Canelo was blocking the majority of Cotto's punches. While Canelo was landing the more effective and telling blows of the fight. He out landed Cotto.

Cotto isn't a Middleweight he needs to move down and fight guy like Tim Bradley. That would be a hell of a fight.

Canelo isn't a Junior Middleweight. He's a damn Middleweight and Bernard Hopkins should get in his ear and tell him he needs to move up in weight enough with the 155 pound catch weight fights.

Your going off a sparring match 5 years ago??? Good Luck with that! I'm sure Miguel Cotto thought Canelo was going to be the same guy Jose Cotto fought 5 years ago as well...DuMB FK's!!!
LOL. People still think Canelo is the 19 year old he was when he sparred a GROWN ASS MAN Golovkin. Rude awakening will commense soon.

Cotto did his best and lost. No reason for a rematch, Canelo came in a lot bigger but that was no 30 pounds bigger.

          No rematch please.

Not only does Cotto not stand a chance against the bigger, faster fighter, but the first fight wasn't even THAT exciting.

Only way that fight was even close is if you watched it rose colored glasses and little hearts adorning them. Cotto fought that fight for the cash and knew out of his two options Canelo would make him look the least bad. You saw people go from talking up Cotto like he was some sort of rejuvenated world ender to "poor cotto who fought the bigger man".

Cotto outboxed Canelo and won the fight. I'm sure Miguel's already thinking of a great comeback plan; that's what makes him such a great fighter. Canelo can go fight whomever he wants, but even Mexico had Cotto winning the fight.

I underestimated the size/strenght-difference. Canelo looked like a damn Beast next to Cotto in the ring. But Cotto still has great ability. It was just that his punches had zero effect on Alvarez. Lots of people expected Canelo would murder Cotto but it was a competitive fight. Yes Canelo won but it was no one sided fight. The performance from Cotto was realy good but he faced the best and biggest Canelo ever.
I realy want to see Canelo vs. GGG at 160. Thats were Canelo belongs.
And Cotto should move down to 147 again i think he could if he wanted to. Thats where he belongs. I would love to see Cotto vs. Thurman.

I made that mistake one time...

This young kid showed up to the gym all the time and a bunch of us would spar him and beat him every time. We would even showboat and laugh at him while we did it. He disappeared for a few years and later showed back up at the gym. I was one of the 1st to get back in the rind with him and thought he was the same fighter... I got put on my @ss real quick! Thought lucky shot and got back up... Got put back on my @ss AGAIN!!! This time I was PISSED and thought I got sloppy...3rd time he put me down I KNEW he was NOt the same lil kid...

GGG goes in this fight thinking it's the same 19/20 year old Canelo???? He's coming out cold. He better not take Canelo as lightly as his fans do thinking it's a for sure 1 round KO!

Cotto knows he lost, no need to look foolish getting beat again, it was a clear victory for Canelo.

Canelo's too big, period. Cotto had a good gameplan and fought well, but it doesn't matter if he can't really make the plan work because the other guy just won't budge. The size difference was huge.

Canelo fought pretty well too, so he deserves credit though.
