Murray would push Canelo's **** in. Lemule is 50/50.
Which GGG victim would give Canelo the toughest fight?

Not sure why Lemieux is leading the votes, boxing is about styles and Lemieux is a style Canelo can handle. He has no jab, he doesn't box or move particularly well. What he does have is power but Canelo has faced limited guys with power before and always did well. What Canelo struggles with are boxers. Guys who can move. Guys who can counter. Guys who are athletic. Trout, Lara, Floyd and Cotto all gave Canelo problems. Willie Monroe is the guy from this group that gives Canelo the most issues based on style alone. Add to that he's bigger than Lemieux, he's the physically stronger guy, has more tools in his arsenal, more technically sound and simply the better fighter. It would be a very interesting match and frankly I'd be lightweight shocked if they picked him over Lemieux.Comment

Murray on size alone, durable and a workhorse.....Canelo is not used to fighting guys who aren't smaller than him.....Murray is a bit too basic to get the decision though....he would probably get hurt at times and made to respect Canelo too much and thus would probably give away any rounds where the ginger has the stamina to throw decent shots.
Lemieux gets Kirkland'd if he opens up....or beat down in similar fashion to how he lost to Golovkin if he doesn't risk the exchanges.
Stevens shells up a bit too much but he would be the biggest pure punching threat of the group....but nah he probably shells up and gets beatdown.
Monroe would do like a worse impression of Lara until he eats a fight changing punch and either goes into survival mode or gets badly worked at times....not sure Canelo would score the KO though...Comment

He's not listed but I will go with Ouma. He wouldn't have the punch but he has the gas tank and a monster chin. He could stretch Canelo and would be tapping up CAnelo's face all night.
A way past prime Ouma seemed to have more of a willingness to step forward and fight than Trout did in his fight against Canelo and he seemed fresher than Angulo who was also a shell of himself - both of them had Canelo tired against the ropes and both of them were too cautious. It's not a straight line comparison here so
I think these other guys might be too predictable and neat like Murray, or lacking in volume like Stevens, too stiff like Monroe(he's no Lara). Canelo would win any of these fights so I just want to be entertained. I'd like to see Canelo tired, with someone inside on him. I like what Ouma would bring for that, 155 would be easy for him. no draining
[edit: wasn't sure if you meant who would be the best challenge now or at some other previous point in CAnelo's career. I thought you meant if we could rewind a little back. Obviously Ouma is finished these days]Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 03-31-2016, 09:06 PM.Comment

I think LeMule beats him. What is Canelo going to do other than stand in mid-range and trade left hooks?
I like the bigger, stronger and much heavier handed LeMule's chances there.
You don't trade hooks with a guy like LeMule.
Its LeMules only shot really but I think Canelo's style and nature gives it to him.
Murray probably losses a fairly close decision.
Stevens, Rosado, Monroe get smashed.Comment
