And why are you talking about Ward when he's always fought at 168?

Ward has never had anything to do with Stevenson vs. Kovalev.

You know what...SHUT THE *** UP BOXING FANS! So you mean to tell me UFC fans can support their sport by buy PPV's Once a month but Boxing Fans are B1tching about a few PPV Events a year while most of the year boxing is Free or on Subscription TV?

Stop being CHEAP, boxing really don't ask you for much but yet fans sure do ask for A LOT but yet they don't want to pay for ****

If I was Oscar and Tom Loeffler tell the fans hey you know what, lets see how much you guys want GGG vs Canelo, support their next PPV and if the Numbers comeback good for both...THEN THEY WILL FIGHT! I love this sport 100% and I don't think that would be asking for much. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather was putting up big PPV Numbers so it was clear the fans wanted to see them fight, I think it should be the same for GGG and Canelo.

You want them to fight? OK PROVE IT! Start buying their PPV's!

Fighters have to be PAID so yeah Promoters need to do a couple of PPV's to make a profit. Can't just depend on Ticket Sales to pay everybody involved with the Event on top of keeping your promotion going
Definitely some cheap boxing fans in here.

So...the business model is to ask the consumer to pay for the mediocre events so the promoter will be enticed to put on the high-quality events? And the high-quality events won't happen if the consumers don't pay for the dreck?

Excuse me if I don't support that.

Canelo probably can't fight on regular HBO he will be very expensive now, and if he does then all those other fights being on PPV make sense because too much budget will have went into Kovalev-Pascal II and a Canelo tune-up. They have like a 30 million dollar budget and those 2 fights are going to be like 5ish. Throw in a Golovkin card and that is probably another 1.5 to 2 depending on the undercard. That would be the big portion of a quarter of their budget up in smoke on three main events that are not exactly the most competitive or meaningful fights.

NO, the way Boxing Does PPV and how they promote their PPV Events is a DYING PRODUCT!

To further prove that it is not a Dying Product, wasn't it just a historic PPV Event this year? UFC also seems to be getting their Buys...JUST SAYING! I wouldn't call that "Dying"

So UFC fans can support their Sport but apparently boxing fans are to "GOOD" to support the sport they claim to love

That's because they don't take years and years to make good fights for UFC. In boxing they duck each other, then the promoters duck each other, then they duck each other through negotiations, then when it finally happens fans are understandably upset. You are a blind idiot if you are willingly letting them tear your wallet up on a constant basis.

Like the UFC, they would probably load up cards and give us big fights if they know that fans would actually SUPPORT! UFC can roll out Mega Cards because they know their fans will actually BUY PPV's! Takes MONEY to Big Fights but we expect Networks and Promotions to foot the bill and give us everything for FREE

if you had even a remedial understanding of boxing economics, you wouldnt be talking this way.

A fight like Kovalev vs Stevenson goes to PPV for 1 reason, and 1 reason only. The fighters purse demands cannot be met via the typical broadcast rights fees and the live gate.

So how that is the promoters fault is beyond me.

Part of that is because they're consistently having events so building up stars is becoming easy for them.

As for Ducking well the UFC have 1 TITLE in every division that is why they fight each other. Boxing have a ton of titles. Why should Billy Joe Sauders be in a rush to fight GGG when he has a World Title, why should Canelo be in a rush to fight GGG when he has a World Title. They duck each other because they're being ALLOWED to duck each other. See the WBC setting a deadline for Canelo then reneging on that Deadline. It went from he has 15 Days, to Until After Thanksgiving to "He Can Take Another Fight Before Taking His Mandatory".

Not about tearing your Wallet up, you buy what you feel is worth buying. What you don't buy, take your lonely Anti Social Asses to a Fight Party
