Because it's an extraordinary/exceptional fight that's been years in the making.

It's only been years in the making because of the fighters and promoters ducking each other. Us fans had nothing to do with that. They put it on themselves.

Don't forget, Canelo and Golden Boy gave us those classic PPVs vs. Angulo and Lara. I predict they'll want to go PPV in May.

In any event, of the five potential PPVs, only one - Canelo vs GGG - is truly deserving of a PPV. And before anyone tries to argue Kovalev-Ward, a guy who has fought once in the last two years - and who generated a 0.09 rating and 325,000 viewers - versus a guy who doesn't speak English and does only about 1 million viewers per fight isn't a PPV-level matchup. The network license fee should be plenty to cover what they are worth.

Years in the making? Maybe because Ward has only fought once in two years, and two years ago Kovalev was barely on the radar.

I disagree. The fighters put it on themselves because they've been the best Light heavies for the past 2 years or so.

Not gonna get Manny vs Bradley III
Won't purchase Canelo vs a so-called ggg tune-up, because I highly doubt that promises a ggg bout.
              Kov-Stevenson won't happen. I just don't see how, I'm hoping I'm dead wrong.

Ward vs Kov is the only big fight on this list I'm salivating for

yea if that fight happens and they put it on ppv, it'll do worse numbers than GGG's ppv

Yes, years in the making. @ 2 minute mark, this interview was over two years ago. The fans and commentators have been asking for this fight for years.

                  Where have you been?

They don't have any real options with their shrinking budget If it's a marque event or with a big name it'll probably be on PPV

Was just watching Eddie Hearn interview with Krugan talking about the negativity for PPV's and then the Joshua fight turning around and doing very well.

You know what...SHUT THE *** UP BOXING FANS! So you mean to tell me UFC fans can support their sport by buy PPV's Once a month but Boxing Fans are B1tching about a few PPV Events a year while most of the year boxing is Free or on Subscription TV?

Stop being CHEAP, boxing really don't ask you for much but yet fans sure do ask for A LOT but yet they don't want to pay for ****

If I was Oscar and Tom Loeffler tell the fans hey you know what, lets see how much you guys want GGG vs Canelo, support their next PPV and if the Numbers comeback good for both...THEN THEY WILL FIGHT! I love this sport 100% and I don't think that would be asking for much. Both Pacquiao and Mayweather was putting up big PPV Numbers so it was clear the fans wanted to see them fight, I think it should be the same for GGG and Canelo.

You want them to fight? OK PROVE IT! Start buying their PPV's!

Fighters have to be PAID so yeah Promoters need to do a couple of PPV's to make a profit. Can't just depend on Ticket Sales to pay everybody involved with the Event on top of keeping your promotion going
