He fought a young underfeated prospect on showtime extreme...
Ok...After a little reasearch, The fighter that caught my attentionin an upset victory over underfeated jr Lightweight prospect Frank Galarza is Jarrett Hurd. I may be wrong...but keep your eye one this one...don't sleep on him. Although the Jr Middlewgt div is crazy stackw/ young talent, I dare say better then the Welterwgt division...There I said it...

Hard to believe Porter and Thurman are fighting for welterweight supremacy, when some guy named Kell Brook schooled Porter for the belt 18 months ago. What is that guy doing anyway? There is a place at the top of the division for the man that wants to fight anybody. That man could be Tim Bradley, while Brook is doing God knows what in the UK, seems like Thurman doesn't want to fight Porter, and who the f*** is Amir Khan is that guy around?!

lol true. PBC can't build stars. Even if Keith wins this fight he'd likely go on to fight some more no-hopers and cancel out all the momentum. That's Haymon's brilliant strategy for you.

Deontay Wilder is the PBC's best chance at a star.

Kell Brook has been a massive letdown since the Porter fight. So much so, it seems most people have forgotten he even beat Porter, including Al Bernstein who seems to think Porter would establish himself as the top WW with a win over Thurman.

I don't know what the hell is going on over there in Eddie Hearn's camp but they need to sort this out and quick. Brook had the perfect platform to establish himself as a genuine star, and yes, he did get stabbed in the leg, but we've since had Jo Jo Dan, Frankie Gavin, and now Kevin Bizier?? If Porter had kept hold of that belt there is no way in hell his next three fights would have looked like that. Brook needs to step up now and quick, before he loses relevance, and better hope this Khan fight gets wrapped up quicksmart. Which it should, because both of them seem to have ground to a halt.

Yes they would. Again, stop hating. They are talented, respectful, entertaining boxers who love the sport of boxing. That screams out star.

So Floyd is respectful and entertaining?!

A fighter can have none of that and still become a star

Or have it all and fail to become one.

It's all about star quality. Charisma.

All I know is that if Keith Thurman was an HBO fighter he would have already fought a guy like Bradley and been way more popular then he is. He didn't gain any momentum and faded away by the end of 2015
