I think Ortiz appears that he hits a lot harder he has much better technique and timing as well. He is able too generate power when moving backwards. He doesn't even need to set his feet. That is one scary dude.

Luis Ortiz will prove to be the better boxer but Samuel Peter was by far a harder puncher.

Samuel Peter was probably the hardest of all hitters really.

Ortiz is a big powerful skillful precision puncher...that's a devastating combination. Peter was a pretty big strong guy (not as big as Ortiz) who used to wing his punches...when they landed they could KO in one punch but he had no where near the skillful accuracy in his punches that Ortiz has. Ortiz has it over Peter big time...no comparison.

They both hit very hard but I think Ortiz hits harder punch for punch. Ortiz has equal hand speed to Peter and he is just as big. The difference is his punches are more correctly thrown so he gets more bodyweight into his punches. He can knock a tough man like Jennings out with a few well placed punches. Peter got knock downs and knock outs but it took him more punches than Ortiz would need to get the job done. In my opinion Ortiz is a harder puncher and a better boxer as well. Today's prime Ortiz beats a prime Peter in my opinion. In fact I think Ortiz is probably the best heavyweight in the world right now.

I think Jennings is a better fighter than anyone Wilder has ever fought.

1 punch KO gotta go with Sam Peter, he put guys out but Ortiz has a solid dig, the classier finish comes from Ortiz but Sam Peter had that detonator.
