                That would be a solid first fight at 175 for Ward. I haven't seen a lot of Barrera but from the little I've seen, he seems to be a better fighter than Caparello, Agnew and Mohammedi.

                    Does it mean that if Ward would win such a fight would make him Kovalev's mandatory?

                        I would think so but not certain. With the WBO, if a mandatory is beaten in a tune-up, the winner of the fight gets the shot, which is how Leapai got a shot at Wlad from winning a fight where he was supposed to be the stay-busy opponent. Have the WBC said yet if Granados is getting the mandatory shot that Imam was in line for?

                        I'm trying to think of a time when something similar happened with the IBF as it seems each org has their own rules for this kind of thing.

                            If GGG made a fight like this he'd get slayed by NSB though
