Apparently fighting current world champions in your division and p4p top 3 fighters is cherry picking

      Cotto - Good job.

Canelo - Only issue with this fight is:
      a) Age [still not too big of a deal]
      b) Catchweight

Pacquiao - KO'd already. Out of his prime. Probably would have lost regardless, but a Pacquiao @ 140 pounds 5 years ago is a tough fight for anyone, including Floyd.

Maidana - First fight was great. 2nd fight was lame and the officiating ******.
      Jmm-p4p#2
      Mosley-wba champ-p4p#3
      Manny-wbo champ p4p#2
      Maidana-WBA champ
      Cotto-WBA champ at 154
      Canelo-WBC champ, Ring champ at 154 p4p#10

if this is cherry picking boxing will be fine if others follow this pattern

Are you trying to be funny by putting JMM in there? and he did duck Pacquiao for 5 or 6 years.

Wasnt Manny the one who walked from the table over drug testing? and why is JMM funny didnt the even older version almost kill Manny and give Bradley a good fight?

some how they ignore that...in 2009-10 he walked..in 2012 floyd called him personally and he gave the phone to Konz so no point in talking to that guy anymore

It's not about the P4P rankings only, Larry. Come on now. That would be like, Golovkin coming up two weight classes to fight Sergey Kovalev. Kovalev would win, but there's no way anyone would call him a great P4P because of that win.

Mosley had been ducking Mayweather for years. When they asked Mosely if he would fight Mayweather next Mosley said he couldn't because he had a dentist appointment. After his fight with Brusels, Mayweather told De La Hoya and Mosley he'd go to 147 to fight them and neither one wanted it at the time. Even Lampley and Roy Jones were saying De La Hoya and Mosley shouldn't take the fight because they have nothing to gain and almost everything to lose. He fought Mosley when Mosley was coming off the destruction of Margarito. Mosley tried to get a fight with Pacquiao at that time and Roach turned it down. Pacquiao and Canelo fought Mosley after Mayweather

Canelo proposed the 152 CW, Floyd agreed and Oscar said 152 is good for Canelo because he'll be lighter on his feet.

Pacquiao was out of his prime but an older Mayweather wasn't? People like to say Floyd takes less damage than Pacquiao. Those same people never seen Floyd before he fought Oscar. He's been fighting his whole life. He dropped out of school at 16 to focus strictly on fighting. His body has taken a lot of damage. And it's crazy that people call Pacquiao washed up but he's still ranked in the top 5 p4p. And he's still picked to beat the top LWW and WW fighters. Everytime Pacquiao was asked if he would fight Mayweather, Pacquiao would say it's up to my promoter but Roach said years ago that Manny picks his opponents not Bob. Bob has even said that. Pacquiao didn't start pursuing the fight until his options were none. Arum was trying to sell us a Pacquiao v. Vargas fight. Pacquiao had come off fighting Rios and Algieri. Pacquiao didn't take the fight until he had nobody else to fight
Marquez came in 134.5 in his fight prior to the Mayweather fight, and had never made above 135 before. He made the 144 limit against Floyd, coming it at 142 while Floyd weighed in at 146. Marquez rehydrated to 148 on fight night, btw. That's after bulking and gaining around 8 pounds. I imagine Floyd was around 152~ish.

I never said Floyd wasn't out of his prime, either. But Floyd still had the advantage. He's taller, longer arms, and fighting at a heavier weight that suits him. Pacquiao? 147 hardly suits the guy. He already has a severe height/reach disadvantage, coupled with the fact that Pacquiao probably weighed less than Floyd? He was never winning that fight, on any night probably. But I still would have taken it to be a closer fight many years ago (or even if it was at 140). You can keep your power all you want, but speed/reflexes go away with years of trauma & aging.
