Imagine Canelo future fights if he signs up with Al Haymon on NBC live vs Mayweather 2,Jacobs,Quillen,Charlo Bros,Lara 2,J Rock,Spence,Thurman,etc instead he'll be stuck on weak HBO fighting GGG & other no names.

Canelo doesn't need to sign with Al Haymon; his star is already big enough, with already enough built in leverage on his name, to not really need Haymon at this point.

Saul "Canelo" Alvarez simply needs to never sign with a promoter ever again. Keep everything in house, bring whomever his long-time lawyer is as "adviser", and run everything else himself.

Hire Golden Boy on a fight-by-fight basis to promote his US fights, run whatever US TV deal through himself and his 'Canelo Promotions' company, and maximize the Mexico TV money (his bread and butter) on his own terms. Miguel Cotto laid out the blueprint for how 'Canelo" should handle his affairs going forward.

At all of 25 years old, and already a budding superstar, Alvarez should take things fight-by-fight, moving around to target the fights that he wants to fight, take on fights on his own terms, and only lock himself into a longterm deal when he feels he can see the end (a la Floyd Mayweather).

Alvarez should never be in the position where someone else's political issues ends up making him miss out on fights that he wants (actual fight negotiations aside).
