I think Algieri should ideally get in two more "learning" fights with John David Jackson then go for the bigger names.

He still has some rough edges to polish off and that won't get done with just one more training camp (in my opinion.)

Jackson obviously wants the same thing.

They have just made little changes to Algieri's style, so Jackson would know.

He likely wants a little more polish, and a little more precision.

Very well said, I agree completely, I saw something in Algieri's fight with Khan, he has skills and a great work rate, heart and chin. Jackson can do something with Chris, but he definitely needs some work, a couple of fights then chase the big fights. Good post.

What are you talking about? Chris was just in an extremely competitive fight with the 56th best WW in the world.

Berto is C+, and Chris is C+ no ones getting whipped the day they fight.

The fact that JDJ feels he needs a tune up before AB should tell you exactly where Chris is at.

I think Berto wants the Garcia-Guererro winner.

He's in a position at the moment where he can cash out on one more payday. Berto should choose his opponent wisely. Algeri isn't a good money fight and it's one he will likely lose.

If I was him I'd push to make Garcia or Broner.

I've been praying for Swift vs Berto or Swift vs Bradley....I like seeing Berto take a ass whooping....that mutha****a can take a pounding, I'll give him that

Algieri needs to go back to boxing. It was a good style against Khan but not a style that he should stick with.
