He has the skills and the power to have a very bright future. Do you think he should fight guys like Isaac Chilemba or Nadjiib Mohammedi next? Or should he fight a guy like Sullivan Barrera?
A fight with Mohammedi would be great for now. It's a fight in which he'll get a good KO and it would continue getting him more hype. Then he can face a tricky guy like Chilemba or a Barrera. If they want to target a title next year they should look to take the title away from Braehmer. That's an easy champion to target.
I think a lot of people are going to love Slava's style, They could start hyping up a fight between him and Kovalev for 2017. Realistically it won't happen until 2017 at the earliest.

HBO also has guys like Gvozdyk, Mekhontsev and Bivol coming up. They are not HBO fighters yet, but that's probably where they will end up going. Some great potential fights at 175 for the future. They just need to start stepping up Gvozdyk, Mekhontsev and Bivol, so they could start getting some hype like Slava is and they don't have to fight on HBO to start getting hype. Bivol is still early in his career so they can be more careful with him. Mekhontsev needs to step up as he is getting up there in age. Gvozdyk is really talented and I think he's ready to take on a good opponent. They're not going to be ready for Kovalev anytime soon, but if they get them good fights in 2016 they should be ready in 2017 and on. Gvozdyk should have one more opponent and then face a guy like Yunieski Gonzalez. I think Top Rank should get both of them on TruTV to get a win before the fight each other, because Gonzalez cannot be coming off 2 straight loses (one of them was controversial) into that fight. I know Gonzalez is not with Top Rank, but I think he'll take anything at this point.
I think people are going to love Gvozdyk's style. He has an elegant style.

That was a lot more info than you wanted my bad lol.

No that was great. I appreciate your insight on some of those up and coming Light Heavyweights , and Slava. I knew a little about Gvozdky but not about the other guys you mentioned. I will keep my eye out on those guys now to see how they look.
Not many fans mention Slava and it was good to see your insight on him. 2016 hopefully he gets a belt then face the Krusher in 2017. There is no way Bernard Hopkins will allow Oscar to push Slava up to fast to face Kovalev. To me Slava is to him what Canelo is to Oscar just my opinion.
