Can't say I'm surprised, Gonzales ranked in the top ten after a lost was ridiculous anyway. I told people he caught Pascal slipping but in my opinion still lost clearly. He's a sloppy fighter who gasses out way to fast for my liking.

That fight should have been a near shutout for Shrab. Gonzalez is obviously very slow in the head and fights like it. He has the defensive skills of a light pole and swings like a really bad AM. One guy looked like he had some decent skills and the other guy fought like a monkey with gloves. This clearly was a one-sided fight.

I agree, Tom Schreck who scored it a draw is an incompetent judge.

He also had Jason Sosa beating Walters tonight 96-94.

Harold Lederman had a sensible card of 98-92 for Shabranskyy.

Yes... Yunieski's IQ seems to be quite low, overall...

                Good for Slava

Kind of surprised he won so easily , he's still a little clumsy looking with what he does but overall very solid effort and showed a chin

There's always going to be a fine line when you see guys get hurt early on in fights against fighters they really shouldn't be having issues with ...is it just getting caught cold or is there a liability

Cleverly would be a nice fight for him, good TV

I didn't think Slava would do it, but he did and did it rather easy. Gonzalez won 2 rounds imo. They said that Gonzalez and Slava kept hurting each other, I didn't see Gonzalez bother Slava all that much. Only one time early in the fight did it looked like Gonzalez caught Shabranskyy's attention. Slava hurt Gonzalez on several occasions, not all the time but way more than vice versa. He had him ready to go in the last round.
They shouldn't rush Slava to Kovalev just yet, but they should keep him at around the same level for a few more fights.
It's time for Top Rank to step up Gvozdyk and Mekhontsev.
Some good opponents for Kovalev in the future.

I agree with everything you said about Slava both about his fight with Gonzalez to Golden Boy not rushing him to fast to fight Kovalev. I'm a huge fan of this Slava. He has the skills and the power to have a very bright future. Do you think he should fight guys like Isaac Chilemba or Nadjiib Mohammedi next? Or should he fight a guy like Sullivan Barrera?

Mohammedi would be okay as his next opponent, or someone like Caparello, then move on to someone on the next level like Barrera.
