The WBA is on the verge of mandating Golovkin-Jacobs-Eubank situation

Golovkin-Jacobs, in all likelihood, will go to purse bids; if K2/HBO is unwilling to come forward with the money (I figure that the winning bid is likely to be at least $3m-$4m), DiBella wins the bid, K2 compels Golovkin to dump the WBA belt (in lieu of putting their own status with HBO at risk), and Daniel Jacobs gets elevated to full WBA 160 champion, clearing the path for Jacobs-Saunders to be a unification fight for the WBA and WBO 160 titles (mandatory defenses are rarely due for either title).

Eubank takes this next fight for the British title and, if he gets through that fight, sets himself up nicely to then fight for the WBA regular title

Warren is planning to do with Billy what he did with Calzaghe & Hatton before him. I see Bill taking another 3-4 soft fights vs WBO contenders, including Langford, before accepting a Eubank rematch, and then GGG.

Jacobs could still opt to fight Lee in NYC on St. Patrick's day weekend. Loeffler said that if he couldn't make a fight for the WBO title, Danny Jacobs was their #2 option. Danny is not signed with Showtime & HBO will approve the fight. If HBO is willing to front the money, GGG haters need to come up with a good reason if Danny & Al won't take this. In fact they should be demanding it.

12 out of 85 regular champions. Seems to me that a lot of those championships are just feel good titles, like Wilder's Heavyweight title.

Are there really 85 titles? Fucking hell.

HBO won't front the money for the fight; ignore that reality if you want.

With Golovkin already flopping on PPV, you're basically looking at HBO putting up $4m to stage Golovkin-Jacobs. Any idea the last time HBO spent that kind of dough on a broadcast?

Lee's loss might not cost him that much at all. Saunders isn't coming to America (for a while, at least) and if you assume Haymon/PBC fighters won't be on HBO, Jacobs and GGG aren't fighting next. If they're not fighting each other, who are the going to fight? Qullin? Tuarano Jobnson? Lee is better choice than either of them

I said if HBO does. You don't know what they'll front, they could step up and write it off as a marketing investment for the Golovkin/Canelo ppv. Showtime didn't even front the full $3mill for the abysmal <400k ratings garnered by Quillin/Jacobs, Al subsidized their pay.

Meantime Danny's talking like a guy who doesn't want to test himself.
