the fight isnt worth a million by any objective standard. And do you REALLY think Duva wanted to win the bid? lol

Hint: she wanted haymon to overpay, which he did

she mentioned the Russians, and Haymon on cue overpaid by over 300 grand.

Although truthfully haymon would have overpaid regardless of anything duva said.....

Once again, the fight is worth what the winning bid was. The comments about "taking him to Russia" next time suggest they wanted to win this bid.

It appears Duva just advised them incorrectly.

I'm curious-what do you think should have been the bid and was duva's $880k bid exceed that?

If it's Glazkov- I see Povetkin( both russian makes too much sense) or Fury, who both spark him so I see bums on the menu.

If it's Martin- I see Brezeale, a bum then he's fed to Wilder( if wilder beats Povetkin, which i favor the champ in that fight) or if Wilder loses then Fury.

if you were bidding on the face value of the fight in a vacuum, it would not exceed 500k based on projected gate and broadcast rights fees / international sales. Even 880k for the fight I believe is overpaying.

To know for sure though if Duva overbid you would have to know what her contract minimums are for her fighter in world title fights, or what specific other deals she might have in eastern europe / russia for additional revenue

                    Good points.
Why is the fight being scheduled so soon ... 1 month after purse bids?
