Really, because he is almost there already. He beats Canelo, most will put him on top. You may not, but t I bet you think he doesn't deserve his standing now.

On every list he is higher than Ward, Canelo, Cotto, etc.

You really think beating Canelo won't put him up there. Let's see then.

Especially after beating Lee and unifying all four MW titles.

GGG will unify all tittles in the Middleweight Division 'beat Canelo" in 2016 then the mega fight between him and Ward will be set in 2017.

At what weight?

Ward will be a full fledged light heavyweight in 2017.

Ward won't move back to 168. And Golovkin isn't gonna move up to 175.

Golovkin and Ward are two different size fighters, pretty far apart in frame and weight. Same goes for Golovkin and Floyd, for example.

Canelo, on the other hand, is only a little shorter (1.5 to 2 inches) than GGG, and probably has more reach. His fight weight is comparable to GGG's at around 170. If Golovkin beats him convincingly -- assuming they ever fight, which I still don't believe -- he could go to the top of the P4P without ever taking on a LHW such as Ward.

Ward offered to fight GGG at end of 2016 (knowing he was gonna be busy).

Team GGG said, naw, more like 2017. We busy in 2016.

Now Ward says, GGG fight will never happen. Ward doesn't think he can make 168 (basically proving what we already knew, his ass is a LHW calling out a MW)

Only one team says never, and that is Ward.

That's because GGG needs Ward more than Ward needs GGG! If Ward beats Krusher his legacy is in tact, and makes him #1 P4P

BH camped his ass at 160 beating bums and he became p4p. GGGcan camp as well destroying 160 guys for as long as he wants and so will he. Ward would have lost by then.

And? GGG bent over for the WBC and Canelo saying they'll fight "sometime next year"

And GGG will earn a ton more money from fighting Canelo than he would have earned for Ward, even if Ward's offer had been a serious one.

And he won't need to move up a division for Canelo.

And it looks like a unification fight with with Andy Lee is on the cards for next summer, if Lee beats Saunders, so GGG vs Canelo could be a 4 belt and lineal MW title fight. That's worth waiting for.

Ummm yes he was. 172lbs is LHW. Ward has even said himself in so many words that he can't make 168 and even has to cut weight to make 175. The last time Ward made 168 was in 2012.

The fight was offered at 168 not 172. But don't let facts get in your way. Although that's typical of you.

The answer to that question would depend on who you were asking.

If Ward beat Kovalev I would rank him at No1.

Kovalev beating Ward wouldn't impress me as much though.
