Sounds like he's not happy with his promoter & wants to jump ship.

So all these guys getting TV time with PBC will still get the same with HBO when the hedge fund is gone?

We will still see the same guys? That if PBC wasnt around Monroe would be fighting on HBO? thats what you are implying

Actually the exact opposite happened. There are plenty of fighters not signed with Haymon fighting on his cards that would otherwise never see HBO.

Not signed with Haymon but fought on PBC:

          1. Willie Nelson-After that loss to Vanes nobody was trying to touch him. Took him almost a year to get another fight. He got it against a Haymon fighter and won! That was 6 months ago. He doesn't even have another fight scheduled yet. You telling me Dunkin can't get him a scrap on HBO?

          2. Denis Shafikov-Top Rank fighter. Lost to Vasquez on HBO hasn't been on since. Fought on the undercard of the the Bradley v. Chaves HBO fight. His fight was streamed on Toprank.tv. He'll be fighting Barthelemy on Spike TV

          3. Frank Kassi-He's gotten two PBC fights this year after losing to Mansour.

          4. Mansour-Got a shot against Washington on PBC and he'll be fighting on the Wilder undercard.

          5. Aaron Martinez-Showed himself well against Guerrero and got another fight Alexander and won and has an upcoming fight against Sammy Vasquez. Martinez had 3 losses coming into his fight with Guerrero and lost and still got another fight against Alexander.

This is just a quick list. I can list plenty more examples. If anything it shows Haymon is giving these guys an opportunity they weren't getting elsewhere.

I got about 3 phone calls from my people after the fight to talk about how great Triple G is and how great it was for me to face him. Those were the only phone calls I got and I kindly declined those interviews because it's not my job to hype up another fighter, especially an opponent that I lost to. It's sad, but those were the only calls that I really got. With the type of performance I put on against Triple G and the level of talent I possess and the hard work that I put in and how long I have been doing this, I should be going on my second fight by now.
That was his fuck up. As a man, I get where is coming from but he needs to know how the game is played if he is looking to further his career.

Haymon took away the bottom tv market - ESPN, NBC as well as Showtime. He also elevated opponent prices. So now smaller promoters like Banner have no options for tv to develop their fighters. Demetrius Andrade is another example. He sat out a year because he couldn't get a deal with HBO or Showtime, where in the past he could've atleast had an ESPN fight.

Just watched a Nelson interview a few weeks ago. Since upsetting Haymon's fighter Harris, his people can't get him anything.
