That idiot has been throwing that same BS out for years like it stumps Floyd's supporters. First of all, Floyd is arguably still a HOF'r if you completely erase his run at 47. And he tries to throw out "primed elite" welterweight because guys like Manny and Mosley were past their physical primes. Totally disregarding that Floyd was as well. Then he tries to **** on guys like JMM and Hatton, P4P guys who moved up to fight Floyd. But the reality is Floyd and Hatton are roughly the same age and turned pro at roughly the same time. And in the years that proceeded their welterweight clash. Hatton fought exclusively at 140, while Floyd came all the wsy from from 130 to eventually get Hatton at 47. So unless Floyd hit puberty at 30, there's not a lotta size difference there. And he'll **** on JMM who did quite well at 47 against a guy he claims is better than Floyd. Not to mention he completely ****s on Baldomir who was the lineal champ. Ironically, the lineal title meant nothing when Floyd fought Baldomir. But now means everything when they wanna see GGG fight a jr middleweight. Dude's a f.uck ret@rd and only comuc relief when I'm really bored.Comment

This is common knowledge amongst the boxing community. However the saltiness of a certain "fan" base is still a classic site to see.
I said years ago these clowns would turn on their own hero's when it came time for them to acknowledge Mayweather's greatness. In fact these clowns will **** on anyone if it doesn't suit their agendas.
It will get worse when Pac states the same about Mayweather. They will **** all over him as well and (if they haven't already) jump on that GGG wagon. All while claiming Floyd is ducking..... (insert random fighter from random weight class from random era).
In the end, these clowns have become so irrelevant with their hatred that they look for any form of acknowledgment that people still care about their ****ty little opinion pertaining to Mayweather. Their like little kids acting up for attention. Sad but not surprising. Boxing has moved on, hopefully they do as well some day.Comment

Floyd Mayweather Jr. is by the best of his generation and will go down as one of the best ever. Money May was probably his greatest as a lightweight when he defeated the likes of Diego Corrales, Jose Luis Castillo, and Angel Mandfredy. He was so fast, quick, and powerful, and just a finisher for the division at that time everyone knew eventually he would get his shine and be the top of the sport one day.
As he moved up in weight to me he lost his killer instinct to finish guys but his skills where skill just on another level as he continued facing the better welterweights and junior middleweights.
Now his generation I don't know if there would be more than a handful that you would call legends/all time greats because you had a mix bag of guys who didn't live up to their potential, you had guys who came up way to fast and got burnt out on the sport, and you had very few who were cross over superstars.
I would say Money May's generation was solid but nothing special compared to the older generations of boxers.Comment

Lol! Only fan boys reply with no logic and the only facts that they can present is their opinion! Lol if your just stating your opinion there's nothing to debate!
I like both fighters you stated! But I disagree! RJJ may be top 3 middleweight ever but he didn't match his athletic ability with skill. Once his athletic ability was gone our trailed off he was no longer able to compete at a high level. He also didn't have the big fights as Floyd did.
B-Hop never had the athletic ability like Floyd our RJJ but he had the skill to compete at a high level throughout his whole career!
Floyd had and used everything. He is or was not only more athletic than most opponents, but he was also more skilled than every opponent! With the heart and intelligence to go with it! His only flaw was that as he moved up he didn't have the power to Ko everyone! If he did almost everyone he fought would be KO'd because he is probably the most accurate fighter in history!!!
It is annoying. Why don't you just write normal sentences.
I'm stating my opinion as my opinion.
Trust me, I have followed boxing for many years, and am knowledgable about Mayweather, Hopkins, and Jones' careers.
My opinion is that Mayweather is #3 among this bunch.
I don't feel like writing an essay about it.
That is my opinion, live with it.
And you are free to your own opinion.Comment

I don't hold it against a fighter who carries on too long.
It is sad to see, and happens way to much.
I rate based on prime, for the most part.
There are exceptions; I got in a debate with a friend about whether Tyson or Ali was greater (to me it is obvious). One of my arguments in favor of Ali was his longevity.
Also, during his good years, he lost 2 fights, and avenged both twice (the Frazier fight was coming off his exile, and in the Norton fight he suffered a broken jaw. He beat both guys twice in rematches.)
My friend tried to argue that prime Tyson would have beat Ali. I stated Tyson would have needed a knockout to possibly win against Ali, and was taken the distance by the like of James Tillis, among others.
I don't mind the argument that Floyd is ahead of Roy (and/or Hopkins), but I just don't see things that way.
I wish Roy would stop fighting. But, he achieved more, in my opinion.Comment

Keep schooling them! They have no real logic when they post! They can only throw insults our ask questions but they never can back up their opinion with facts! The hate is real! But those same fans are the same fans that praise GGG! How ironic? GGG is 34 and don't come close to Fighting Floyd opposition! He 34 and don't have a Berto on his resume!!!
And to be real, the term "primed" gets thrown around too much anyway. Most guys physical prime only last 2-3yrs. Being great in your prime isn't what makes you an ATG. Longevity is what makes you an ATG. Floyd beat guys when they were considered at the top of the sport. Physical prime is irrelevant:
Baldomir: reigning lineal welterweight champ
Hatton: top 5 P4P, reigning lineal jr welterweight champ
JMM: #2 P4P, reigning lineal lightweight champ
Mosley: #3 P4P, consensus #1 welterweight
Pacquiao: top 5 P4P: consensus #2 welterweight behind Floyd
As a sidenote, Floyd moved up three times during his welterweight run to challenge arguably the top guy at jr middleweight. DLH, Cotto, Canelo
He also filled his the gaps between his big fights with guys like Ortiz, Guerrero, and Maidana (2), who were top 10 fighters in the division, albiet not elite.
Folks can feel free to poke holes all they want. But that's a HOF resume right there. And that's totally disregarding what Floyd did in his physical prime (there's that word again.)Comment
