Its not about the loss, it is about how he is completely unable to block a punch from a fighter who is not elite, let alone being able to against an elite fighter. He has ZERO defense. Take another look at his fight. He gets hit 5-6 punches at a time without a single one being ducked or blocked. If he hasn't learned defense by now, he never will.

He never lost before, that right there is a learning experience. The best lessons are the ones that hurt. Lets see if he can learn some defense. I've seen guys go through a career as KO artists and the first time they saw their own blood, they turned into defensive wizards. I'm interested to see how he deals with it, some guys go through a rough stretch, lose a couple, before they find their way.

But when Gatti and Mancini are better defensive fighters, it makes things pretty gloomy for him. I have never seen a guy who has zero defense wake up one day and have great head movement, ducking, blocking punches. It just doesn't happen for fighters with huge defensive lapses.

Prior to his fight against Granados, there were already signs that Imam is bound to get KOed. He was dropped by lesser opponents before. He was consistently being hit despite being very tall.
