The Angulo fight leads me to believe that Lara presents no stylistic challenge whatsoever.

Golovkin fighting Lara just to shut few of his online detractors up isn't gonna happen, I'm afraid.

And I do want him to fight a challenge. I just don't think Lara would be one.

    Period.

thank God coz ggg would fold lara like a beach chair. Lara would probably throw 5 punches per round until the stoppage

        1) Lara's popularity vs. financial cost- " Monroe Doe"... everyone who uses the Monroe argument forgets that Monroe got paid peanuts for that fight. Is Lara more popular than Monroe, yeah sure with Hard core fans, outside of that maybe a little more popular with the casual fans. Monroe got paid 100k for the fight, Lara will likely not take anything less than 1 mill (considering that's how much he made in his last fight). So if we take our NSB hats off and put our common sense hats back on and start doing the math then here is what we will see. In order to make Golovkin vs. Lemiux it had to be PPV, the PPV did poorly, Lara and Golovkin will not be PPV, Lara wanting 1 million (or more) will mean that the fight will have to be on PPV. So this fight isn't going to happen as is unless it happens on PBC, which might not be possible if Golovkin has an exclusive HBO contract so the "Monroe Doe argument is out the window"

        2) Haymon vs. HBO - i hope this gets resolved with new management but we all know that Haymon business model doesn't really work with HBO business model and this might stop the fight from being made... unless its made on PBC like the Lomachenko vs GRJ. That's why i don't see the Daniel Jacobs fight happening with GGG any time soon unless its a PPV fight.

Can anyone think of a logical solution of how this fight can take place? i can't see it taking place and i know that the haters on NSB will start moaning about "why not Lara... GGG is ducking blah blah blah"
that fight wasnt pbc. Golden Boy won the purse bid. PBC hadnt even launched yet when Lomo vs Russell happened.....

Idk why this fight doesn't just get made. Stylistically GGG is much much more dangerous than Canelo. And we all saw saw how weak and ineffective Lara looked with Canelo

It depends who the fighter is really. I mean you got GGG fans jumping all over Danny Garcia's back for saying the truth about boxing business. But then you also see GGG fans have split personality and start talking about business regarding GGG vs Ward/Lara.

And FYI, K2''s Loeffler never mentioned Haymon as a roadblock and HBO's new head said he's going to work with all promoters.

The fight can happen, it's just that K2 has to have the desire to put GGG in vs a challenge.

GGG fans are so fixated at the two KD's Lara suffered vs Angulo but have no care in the world about Lemiuex getting KO'ed by Rubio, and want to see GGG vs Lee, who go tKO'ed by Chavez Jr and Brian Vera.

So you guys are all over the place. You really have no fixed point of view on anything. It's variable depending on the fighter.

If he can't get Jacobs, Lee or Canelo to fight which is likely he should definitely take Lara up on his offer but will Lara go straight to 160 and do exactly what Canelo and his team including promoter are terrified of Canelo doing?

It's definitely a good fall back plan and a good name to add to the hit list.

Lemieux and Lee both have belts ggg wanted.

Lara has no belt, no fanbase, and whether Loeffler says it to reporters or not the bottom line is Haymon guys dont fight on HBO

Why is that so hard to understand?

What did Rubio vs Lemiuex lead you to believe? Or Alcine vs Lemiuex?

How about Lee vs Chavez Jr and Vera?

You like those guys chances vs GGG? The guys who actually got stopped right?

Okay so it's about belt collecting.

So forget fighting the better fighters, leave that to the other guys. GGG is strictly just a bum belt collector.

Lemieux had the IBF title dummy. If Lara had a middleweight title he could have gotten that work too, papa Al permitting, of course.......
