If GGG-Canelo is close, Who Gets the Decision?

With how some cards have been in Canelo's previous fights I think GGG is gonna need to win 9-3 to win a 7-5 decision lol. If he wins 8 rounds or less he's risking a draw or a L I kinda feel.
Ideally you don't even wanna leave it in the judges hands with Canelo. And the good thing for GGG is he's maybe the most capable guy Canelo has fought to insure judges aren't going to be necessary. Although having said that I think both of these guys tend to get way to careful vs their more threatening opponents so this is probably gonna be a much more strategic battle than people expect & is likely to be a decision.

Remember the open scoring in the Trout fight? I remember it being super close and then they read the scores for the first time after 4 or 5 rounds and it was essentially a shutout for Canelo lol

GGG would need atlest 2-3 knock downs to secure a win over Canelo.
And even then he would need to win the other rounds, because at that point you will hear the normal "Canelo fought his way back" stuff.
Proof??
Trout fight
Lara fight
Mayweather fight - in which he was given a scorecard.

They had Trout down 8-0 and 6-2 on two cards after 8, in what was without question a dead even fight at that point. It was ridiculous.

As for Lara - he is good at losing close rounds and giving the judges too much room to think.
But I think he got credit for his work - he throws a well timed, hard jab..scoring, hurting punch. He won on one card, and came within 2 points on the 2nd 115-113 card. Better than most have mustered, partly due to his jab. He might have gotten the benefit of the doubt had be applied more pressure. GGG won't be out there conceding ground in that sort of situation, he would give himself a better chance to make up a scorecard deficit.
anyway, in combination with everything else GGG would bring, I think has the sort of jab that will help keep him in the fight on 2 of the judges cards against the house fighter even if he's only bringing 97k to the party.Last edited by LA_2_Vegas; 12-15-2015, 09:34 PM.
