that was a very interesting fight. a big ugly in spots if you like boxing, but there was a lot of action and contact. it's no surprise that people stayed tuned in if they had turned it on.


those probably aren't good numbers for such a massive network like NBC, but they're still great nbumbers for a boxing match. that's a lot of poeople./



i'd like to see how it stacked up agains similar timeslots on that network, other networks likeit. i acutally think those numbers are bombing, if you consider the vontext of the major networks in primetime.

Honestly Haymon should not showcase guys like Arreola and Omar Figueroa. I understand theyre action packed fighters but its obvious to even casual fans that these guys have no skill whatsoever. Boxing fans complain about lateral movers and defensive boxers but volume punchers with no power are even worse to watch. If a guys throwing 1000 punches and lands 19%, whats the point, this inst the amateurs. Anyways, fights like this is going to bring PBC downward.

The problem with that is that over here in Germany we can have worse cards than that with coverage beginning at 11 pm and there will be still about 3-4 million viewers for fighters like Sturm, Abraham and Huck. It doesn't look good for PBC if you compare these numbers to them.

I'm not a ratings expert but I'm pretty sure any type of programming in that time slot on NBC would pull in that type of rating if not better.

For comparison, the UFC prelims on FS1 the same night and time had more viewers (1.931M) and nearly tripled PBC's 18-49 rating.

For the people & fights involved 1.8M are probably solid numbers tbh. Arreola was probably the most known guy on the card & if you've seen him lately you'd know he's not quite on the level he used to be.
