Canelo's terms are in, if GGG doesn't like it he can go and Kf himself! as simple as that.

There in no other cash cow right now than Canelo, and if you are not down with it then go fk yourselves too!

    Its business you idiots!

GGG sold 200k on Payperview Canelo sold 900K see the difference?
Canelo had to give up weight and a split of the money to make a fight with Floyd. Canelo had to give up a split of the money to make a fight with Cotto. So he's done it and he was a bigger star then GGG is now both times when he did it. Floyd had to give up weight and a split of the money to fight Oscar and Floyd was at that time a bigger star then GGG is now. Cotto had to give up both weight and a split of the money to fight Manny when at the time he was a bigger star then GGG is now. I don't think it's unreasonable for GGG to give up these as well when fighters who were a bigger draw then him has had to do it. He has NO LEG to stand on. Canelo is the draw here not GGG. He is driving the PPVs and money that would come in for this fight not GGG. That's just a fact. Canelo would like the belt but he damn sure don't need it. GGG he needs Canelo the belt is secondary. Winning the belt by vacate does very little for his career and Canelo's promoters know it.

I think GGG's side knows they are going to have to give up things and they will otherwise they would not of agreed to both sides waiting to restart negotiations till May. If the belt was all he cared about he does not come to agreement yesterday. It's posturing by both sides but Canelo already won round 1 of negotiations by pushing this fight off till Sept which is in their best interest not GGG's. They will win round 2 as well and get GGG to come down from 160.

      GB strategy is clear
i dont think that a year from now ggg will be old and shot, but a year from now canelo will be better and stronger... now if we are talking 2 years from now then ggg could decrease a little and canelo will probably reach his peak(physically and technically), gggs team shouldnt allow that to happen...

K2 had to sign off and agree to this which they did. The WBC is not why this is being pushed off. Not sure why people keep saying that when K2 could of stood their ground and refused an agreement and forced the vacate of the belt...but they didn't. Why? We all know the answer to that because they knew Canelo would of trashed that belt so quick. GGG has no leverage and this fight will be on Canelo's terms or not at all. GGG already decided we will dance to Canelo's beat because if he simply wanted the belt he would of told the WBC no.

Floyd and Cotto fights are absolutely different situations...GGG is a mandatory for wbc title. He has rights to demand title fight. If the Champ doesnt want to fight he has to drop title. Canelo handnt any "rights " for titles when he fought Floyd or Cotto.

I disagree with that. I think GGG was supposed to fight Martinez next at one point, then Cotto next at one point & now Canelo next. At some point before now you'd think GGG would have just been given his shot. I don't think they've handled this issue fairly for GGG whatever the sides have agreed to. I'd be more understanding of the WBC stripping Canelo after their 15 day talks than I was of Fury being stripped of his IBF title after a week.

Random question for anyone, has any boxer been mandatory for 3 different champions in a row like GGG has? Maybe this is more common or not as epicly uncommon than I think it is, but I'm honestly not recalling this type of situation before.

If that's the case then why did GGG already back down and agree to move this off to May? He has the mandatory right now and it meant squat. Floyd, Pacman, Oscar all these guys were bigger then any belt they held. If you want to fight them it will be on their terms and not because a organization says so. All these guys have VACATED belts at one point in their careers. And trust Canelo has no problem doing the same and GGG knew this which is why they agreed to move this to May.

Canelo was the champion when he fought Floyd. He put both his belts on the line at catchweight to make the fight with Floyd on his terms. That's what you have to do when you want to make a fight with a bigger draw then you. Fight on their terms.

I've got a BS to English translator. Here... let's see if I can help with Gomez's quote.

"If the terms are correct, we want to fight him next."
Translation: If we can drag his ass to 155, and if we've got no other choice, we'll fight him.

"There's a lot of things that come into play - many, many things that come into play."
Translation: In case I wasn't clear the first time, there's no way IN HELL that we'll face GGG at 160. He needs to come down to 155 and even THEN.....we'll consider the possibility. We'll milk this fame for all it's worth before we take a fight we could lose.
