So Golovkin will only be fighting one time between October '15 and September '16. It sure as hell better not be Tureano Johnson!

If they cant get the lee-saunders winner, it might HAVE to be Johnson, so ggg doesnt get stripped......

It's going to be either Tureano Johnso o the Lee-Saunders winner. He has no other choice in the matter if he wants to unify all the titles.

He could fight March and in September and December.

I also heard that he could still be on for feb.

We're talking an 11-month span of Golovkin's only fight being Tureano Johnson, furthermore w/o a guarantee that Alvarez is certain for September. That's a very high risk setback. Tureano Johnson is a stay-busy garbage fight for Golovkin, on par with Adama and Ishida.

I was fine when they were talking Johnson in Feb/Mar as a stay busy prior to a May/Jun, but the idea of only a Johnson fight kills me. Watching Johnson's fights with Gavronski and O'Kane pisses me off that he's a Golovkin opponent. Atleast with Monroe, the guy completely outclassed journeymen fighters like Vera, Adam, and Kopylenko. There was some intrigue to the style matchup, but with Tureano there's nothing.

GGG's team racking major L's with this

-If it's April or late March, they're looking at 1 fight until this May deadline
-It's most likely going to be Turreano because
a)Lou and Jacobs already talking Andy Lee fight, exactly what they did with the Quillin fight. Ignored everything else and only talked Quillin
b)Saunders already showed they aren't about that life
-There's no guarantee of a fight, this is basically a 5 month extension. After May they're going back to what they did earlier

Why is there an expectation that they would be able to tell what is (now) the biggest draw in the sport what to do?

Nobody expected Golovkin to get Alvarez into the ring before Sept '16, it's the fact that team Golovkin is now deviating from their original plan of staying busy. Now they're compromising themselves on the chance Alvarez will fight them in September. K2 is putting more faith/emphasis on the possible Alvarez/Golovkin press tour to elevate Golovkin's profile over taking multiple fights.
