SMFH...unless this was the only way to bring Canelo's scalp to the table then I can sort of understand. Also why would anyone pay for a tune up in May when the fight to spend your money on is in September. At some point you have to stop chasing the star name and say "fight or dump the belt b*t*h". They've been talking about him fighting for the WBC belt since late 2013, Sergio wanted no parts of golovkin, the guy who beat sergio wanted no part of golovkin and now...we see the same pattern of Loeffler just accepting promises that don't work out. Not sure how they sold this one to Golovkin but he was ****** for letting this happen..AGAIN.

GGG had ONE shot at a defining fight, and that was Andre Ward. And because he wanted to act like a big shot, before he was a big shot. Now, he has nothing. Even his lil "unification" campaign is pretty much over. SHO paid for Lee-Saunders, with the purpose of matching them with the Jacobs-Quillen winner. So now, GGG enters 2016 just like he entered 2015. A tough fight that isn't worth dealing with for the money, or lack thereof he brings to the table.

GGG vs Canelo would for sure take place with no catchweight.

how the hell are you gonna ask for a catchweight from a fellow division titlist?

who does canelo think he is? floyd?
Didn't see anywhere about a CW??? Where did you get that Cleo?

Canelo unlike GGG has been a MAN of his word. Even when he FK'd up and said 152 he kept his word.

Or starts asking for $1,000,000 per/lb penalties AFTER everything has been agreed upon... Which GGG's ppl already did.

GGG's ppl are too poor and cheap to win a purse bid. And I don't think HBO can/would even get involved since both now fight on HBO?

Well of course Glolovkin's promoter is cool with it.
It was either this, or Oscar tells GGG's team to f*** off.

This fight should logically be happening next, but it isn't. All we can hope is both these guys get matched with easy touches on an HBO May card. Both get sensational KO's to get the casuals interested and we get the fight we want in September 2016.

Ever hear of Cinco De Mayo??? You don't even know who or if those fight will be against or on PPV. Canelo is fighting on that weekend.

What would you rather have them both go almost a year before their next fight???
