Who does Canelo fight in May?

It's going to be hard to find a credible MW that can make 155lbs. If he moves up 2lbs he can get a Curtis Stevenson or David Lemieux. His other choices are bringing up a SWW to fight at 155 but his options there are also limited. I have a feeling they'll shoot for the winner of Clottey/Rosado. Oscar tried to sell Clottey/Canelo to Showtime for $4mil back in 2014 but Showtime wasn't having it and GBP left for HBO.

Canelo's weight demands and Oscar's refusal to work with PBC is going to make it hard for him to find a credible opponent for his next fight. But I guess if people accepted Canelo/Kirkland they'll accept Clottey/Rosado.

I'd be surprised if its the Clottey vs Rosado winner. I'd have a hard time seeing Rosado at all being in the running if he KO1's Clottey.

I suppose if Bradley doesn't get the Manny III fight he's on the short list. Lemieux is likely on the short list.

Tbh I'm less interested in who Canelo fights than who GGG is gonna fight now. Canelo has captured the publics imagination fully, GGG is still growing into that as we can tell by his 1st PPV numbers. I think GGG needs a more impressive opponent for his next fight than Canelo does.

I think it really depends on what weight it's at. If it's at 160 he has a plethora of options, but any lower at a catchweight he's going to limit his options.
