Really you though Aldo-MacGregor lived up to the hype?

It would have been like if May had knocked out Pac in the first twenty seconds of the first round.

UFC is in dire straits in reality. Their biggest star was just absolutely wrecked and she has disappeared. Boxing is poised for a much bigger 2016 than UFC

How can you mention May Pac in the same sentence? Connor Aldo was a million times better. The card had some great fights on it, not just the Conor fight. May Pac whole card was bull****.

And no, UFCs numbers are insanely good. It's a money making machine. Love it or hate it, that is the truth. UFC gives consistent good product and the fans turn out. The yearly PPV numbers for UFC is amazing.

To compare the purses to boxing is different the sport is so young and they stack their cards. To equate it to boxing you had the biggest fight that could be made in the sports atm Mcgregor vs Aldo (for lack of a comparison say that would be Mayweather Pacquiao.) You had the middleweight champion fighting the next best guy on the undercard that would be Golovkin vs. Canelo. Under that was the number 2 & 3 ranked middleweights so in boxing that would be Saunder/Lee winner vs. Jacobs. Under that is the 6th vs 10th ranked fighters (depends on where you look) at Welterweight that would probably be Porter vs. Errol Spence. Then you had a bunch of preliminary fights one of which had Urijah Faber a top class Bantamweight in a stay busy fight against the 14th ranked fighter.

That is ONE card, one night of boxing. If that happened in boxing consistently then fighters purses would be less because of having to spread the money around but that card alone would be the best boxing card of the last 5-10 years easily. That is why the UFC is having so much success.
They only let him pick because no matter what he is gonna take a tough fight in frankie edgar or move up 10lbs and face the champion at 155 dos anjos or cerrone.

LOL WTF are you talking about. In 2014 UFC sold the fewest PPV's since 2006. 2015 was better but boxing still sold 1-2mm more PPVs than UFC did this year.

You guys act like UFC is this overwhelming dominant force. Boxing is still far far more popular than UFC.

            This! 100% correct.
I love boxing but I am tired of watching boxing prospects pad their records by fighting a string of bums and journeymen. And then after 20 or 30 fights try their best to avoid another top fighter. Boxing has become risk mitigation while UFC puts the best against the best early on. Take Conor McGregor for example - he will probably face Frankie Edgar next or fight the undisputed LW champ. No easy fights.

Jon Jones isn't even in the promotion anymore. He was suspended for Coke then H&R a pregnant woman.

                Predicted by who?

I will bet you everything I have his next ppv doesn't do over 3 million ppv buys.

LOL. Give me a break. 3mm PPV buys is laughable

The Patriots aren't making their own schedule every year. MLB teams don't make their own schedule. NBA teams either. Tennis & golf seem to have a tournament type format so the better you are the deeper you go in events & the better the caliber of opponents you end up playing against. In boxing the best guy in the world can fight anyone they want. Thats kinda f#cking ******.

I love boxing, I respect boxers more than any athletes in the sports world, but I think boxers have far too much freedom & I think its hurting the greater good of the sport.
Well there's a reason UFC's "champions" and prospects get smashed every other fight. They throw their top stars in with killers their 5th fight and they lose badly and lose all their marketability

McGregor-Aldo did well over a million and Aldo was an unknown to the American and Irish public.

Bet on TBE returning in May and his opponent will be Conor McGregor.
