If Whyte catches Wilder like he caught Joshua, does he Knock Him Out?

We saw Joshua buzzed in the second round by Whyte but he didn't go down in this fight, although he has been down several times from Whyte punches in the past as an amateur. This time we saw a reversal of fortune with Whyte hitting the deck.

But what happens if Whyte had caught Wilder with those same shots? Is it game over for Wilder who some have claimed has a suspect chin?

probably same as Joshua. Neither have bad chins (Wilder/Joshua) but Joshua has a better defence by far. Even when he was tired he could just play it safe boxing with Whyte from range. Wilder is always getting tagged by bums.

Wilder was taking flush power shots from Stiverne one of the hardest punchers in the division (which Wilder haters ignore) his chin isn't as bad as people make it seem. People like to use the Molina "rocking" Wilder as an example, but if you actually watch the replay you'll see their feet got tangled up which made Wilder stumble, it looked worse than it actually was.

Wilder was in the low 200's early in his career, that's really the last time he was getting rocked. A 20lb weight gain obviously improved his ability to take punches.

          Whyte would definitely KO Wilder.

But the cowardly Wilder would never fight a strong young puncher like Whyte, he'll feast on faded old guys like Stiverne or journeymen like Duhaupas and Molina.

in fairness, wilder was heavily dropped by sconeirs when he was 217, which is 10lbs lighter than now

but sconiers hit him with a good shot, these are heavyweights, they punch hard

wilder got up from that and fnished sconiers and his defence is a lot better now

like with joshua, whyte hits hard, he tagged joshua good but joshua come back and knocked him out

its heavyweight boxing these things happen

tyson fuy got knocked on his ass by steve cunnngham and won the heavyweight chapionship 3 fights later

as long as all these guys improve its only good for boxing

I say he would at least knock him down because he is at least 20 pounds lighter than Anthony Joshua. However as far as knocking him out, no his championship heart and will would help him survive a KO.

I heard about it, but never seen any footage. But still, that was barely 2 years into his career, his skills have come a long way since then.

Joshua may be being rushed, he's relatively inexperienced, I'm not sure if he's ready for the elite ranks yet, Whyte was a good prospect but even he was pretty inexperienced. I don't think he'll have as much time to marinate like Wilder.

I voted I am not sure. It's possible Wilder would have been KOed but he has never been stopped so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Wilder definitely has been hurt numerous times and his chin is not the greatest but apparently either is Joshua's chin.
