I though Kauffman won but Arreola was re-energized after taking a break following the low blow in the 9th. I was surprised that the two judges who scored it for Arreola gave him the 12th after he was buckled at the end of the round though.

Arreola needs to understand that a sit down job in a cab isn't really all that bad. He'll get to see parts of the city he'll never be able to afford to live in....

Good with asterisks. It was competitive, they are both dangerous, in the running for a B or C type title.

Arreola was undefeated and ranked #1 in September 2009. Vitali the great exposed him. Since then he has never been the same. But that was back when champions had to face #1 contenders. They don't have to do that anymore do they Wilder ?

arreola hadn't beaten a soul when he fought vitali. go back and look at his resume. there's absolutely nothing. no one even close to a top 10 fighter. that was a this guy fights on hbo and is popular ranking.

Yes but at least he was ranked #1. Look at who Wilder is fighting. Guys that aren't even ranked. People used to talk smack about the Klitschkos but at least they beat all the ranked #1 contenders

LOL at slamming Chris Arreola for this fight...

The facts are this.. Arreola arguably just edged a 30-1 guy at 6'3" and a half and 236 and a half lbs.

                  That's good!

In fact Joe Louis, Muhammad Ali, George Foreman, Jack Dempsey, Rocky Marciano, Larry Holmes and so on, NEVER WON against an opponent as big and with as good a record as Travis Kauffman.

                  Perspective matters.

If Deontay Wilder, who is a so called HW champion took on Travis Kaufmann and WON, it would be rivalling Stiverne as the best opponent he had ever faced!

But even that I'm not sure would help him more than still being a gatekeeper of the division.
Sadly he isn't going anywhere. 2-3 fights back he had to borrow $$ from his and his wife's family for Christmas. Guy's a hack at managing his life. Besides, he can make some decent coin going as gatekeeper vs mid-level HWs.

Having said that, Kauffman clearly beat him by a couple rounds IMO. Hopefully HE gets some decent paydays now.
