27-31 is a boxer's prime years. So I would say give him one more year to see what he is all about.

Wearnt you a big believer in Stiverne before dan? And that wilder only fought Jason Gavern in that fight because they couldn't get an opponent or his scheduled opponent pulled out. He's actually Wilder's sparring partner, wilder was just having a bit of fun.

Wilder is also a world champion now so no excuses he should be fighting the best yet he is still fighting an embarrassing level of competition.
If anything his competition has gone backwards.

A.J to his credit is fighting young, undefeated prospects and contenders.

I agree but Joshua needs to improve his defence. He's there to be hit, and if Wilder lands one of big shots then it's lights out.

To be a truly elite HW you need a good defence. It's one reason why Wlad has been so dominant over the years. Fury was very average when he started his career, but after Peter Fury took over and changed his style, he's barely lost a round in his last three fights. If you're open to get hit in this division, with the power that these guys pack, it's game over.

Joshua definitely has the potential to go very well, but he needs to be managed carefully so he can refine his skills.

You can't criticise Joshua and then praise Wilder who is getting a lot of praise recently for nothing.

I did think he was out in that second round he looked gassed. Weird that. Nearly won a lot on Whyte so was willing him to land another big one in the 2nd when Joshua was wobbling.

Joshua showed a lot of bottle in there in a good fight. Tired of criticism of every fighter on here post fight unless they are completely dominant makes me wonder what some people actually want to see when they tune in - one sided foregone conclusions? That was a good fight.

I don't mind people praising Joshua, but when they get to the point of comparing him to Elite competition and saying he'll beat them makes me

We'll see, I guess you're right. He still has lots to improve, but he's Fury's age basically and not even fighting Elite competition yet. Fury just beat the legend Klitschko and became the new heavyweight champion.

Lmao you got to be kidding me

4/5 of boxing fans call Wilder trash, chicken leg, china chin.

Nearly ALL boxing fans say Joshua is the next great thing, "he'll beat Klitschko", "he'll beat wilder", "He'll beat Fury" lmao

I was tbf I still think he is fairly useful but definitely not of the class I thought he was.
I really did think he'd got himself together after the struggle with a shot Ray Austin but the same limitations crept up.

I think the Arreola fights in particular not that I was ever high on him but I feel those really flattered him into believing Stiverne was a lot better than he is

Wilder wanted Povetkin for January, guess who wanted tuneup? Povetkin's team.

He's a decent fighter I think and has quite a bit of power. I think him and joshua will be a good fight. Joshua vs Stiverne, Mansour, Pulev and Price should all be good fights next year.
