Daniel Jacobs is whole different kettle of fish to anything that Eubank Jr has ever seen; holding off on picking that fight, though.

In terms of the Golovkin conversation, the path has already been layed out for anyone willing to see it; Golovkin loses to any fighter who has power that can box going forward/backward. Simply look at the amount of success that Gabriel Rosado had when he actually sat and fought.

It's no wonder why K2 has been so careful with moving the guy (gladly being open to take any concession to fight more crude guys, like Froch or Chavez Jr, yet not even acknowledging the existence of guys like Ward, Lara, Andrade, etc).

The Eubank from today looked very good, but it was a grudge match and he was there to prove a point and took risks in doing so.

He knows there is another level and you have to be smart, but he's got all the tools to be a top fighter at 160.

O'sullivan was moving forward with his hands down and Eubank was backing up. O'sullivan caught him flush a couple of times in exchanges. Eubank did adjust around the 3rd or 4th rd and I give him a lot of credit for that. But if Jacob lands one of those hooks the fight is over. Jacobs is to experienced for Eubank at this point. Saunders was his step up test and he failed. He's looked better his last three fights because he's been matched better.

So, Eubank Jr. controls the distance in the fight? Riiiiiiiight. Just for fun...when has GGG come out the worse for wear fighting on the inside? And who's had success backing him up?...A few seconds in the middle of the Stevens fight? GGG ate those shots like they were nothing.

Pirog is smart. He won chess tournaments and holds a Managerial boxing license. He was savvy enough to spot GGG's flaws, skilled enough to exploit them, and ballsy enough to drop his belt to face the Kazakh destroyer. He had the ability to adjust his strategy and fighting style round by round.

Never said that Eubank Jr has to control the distance; simply pointing out that Eubank Jr can punch, Eubank Jr can fight from range, in-close, and off the back foot, and that Eubank Jr would walk into any such fight as the taller man, longer man, and the physically bigger man.

Gabriel Rosado, in his debut fight at middleweight, had plenty of success against Gennady Golovkin when he sat and fought; Golovkin had the blood and swelling on both eyes to show it. Ignore that reality if you want.

K2 will continue with the kid gloves on Golovkin, refusing to step in with anyone primed to expose the hype, until Golovkin can at least lock away one major payday for K2.
