    London - Huge upset at the O2 Arena.

    Olympic Gold medalist Luke Campbell (12-0-0, 10 KOs) was dropped and beaten on a split-decision by France’s Yvan Mendy (32-4-1, 16 KOs), who claimed the WBC International lightweight title.

    In a tight contest, Mendy edged the cards 115-112, 113-115 and 115-113 to inflict a first pro career loss on the Hull southpaw, who was knocked down in the fifth round.

        He landed all the good punches, bullied Campbell around and dropped him heavily.

                The typical NSB response to a prospect getting upset:" Fraud", "Hype job", "I Knew he wasn't that good".

                Campbell is a better fighter than he showed. He just got roughed up by a veteran fighter who has been in the ring with fighters like Postol and Tatli. Some better training and he'll be back in a year to rematch this guy.

                  Not seen the fight but shocked he lost.

                  I always said I wasn't impressed with Campbell but didn't expect him to lose at this level.

                    Didn't expect him to lose to this guy either. Looked as though he might have underestimated him tbh.
