Fight of the year for me. What a war. Donaire showed a lot of heart and Juarez is a tank.

Donaire was dominating and outclassing Juarez in the first five rounds, but man, Juarez really turned it up. He has one hell of a chin and kept the pressure on. He took Donaire best shots throughout the fight, got dropped twice (one was more of a slip) and still kept coming forward and marked up Donaire's face landing flurries. He really made Nonito give everything he had to win.
What a war, fight of the year candidate. Win or lose, I'll always be a fan of Donaire. He's a true fighter. And Juarez made me a fan of his as well. It's fights like this that remind of why I became a boxing fan.

Donaire is still showing moments of brilliance but as we've all seen, as a great fighters career winds down, that's all it is, moments of brilliance rather than sustained effort. It's a great fight though, up there alongside Mitchell/Linares and Kov/Pascal this year. Donaire still has some pop but I feel he isn't at his best at bantam, it's not just age, it's his lack of size at the weight. He has never been muscular but his height helped him in other divisions, above bantam, it doesn't.

That was a ****ing good fight. What a gutsy 12th by Donaire. I don't think it was just the injury that led to Juarez's rally, he was already coming on when that happened. Both these fighters were tough as hell in this fight.
Good, tough war. Loved it.
