I disagree with you, I don't think they would. That's when people would find themselves longing for the 'good ole days' of HBO & Showtime when those nice matchups would be included with the bill you already pay.

I mean think about it - If boxing were ran like the UFC, there is no way in the world we would not have had to pay $50-$70 to see Jacobs vs Quillin.

I'm hoping Haymon and HBO do business starting next year and we don't have to worry about all the BS anymore. Hearing John David Jackson saying he thinks Kovalev-Stwvenson happens in June is a big step in that direction.
      Lucky....

GGG's debut got like 600k on HBO and like 2k people in Verona. I was there, and a good chunk of people there were Polish/Ukranian for Dzin and Proksa.

After that he was put on undercard duties for Mikey fucking Garcia and went to Monaco.

Fought 4 times in 2013 to build a following. Hell, but the time he went back to the theater in October, he gathered a good following from being undercard and fighting in Verona.

Everybody there was more split between the main even this time

Not sure what you mean. The UFC still gots fights you can see for free. If boxing had exceptional UFC type cards monthly its not like HBO or Showtime or ESPN or Bounce or whoever still couldn't show fights.

And if boxing had UFC-like cards those "good ole days" would be ****ty ass Kovalev vs the pizza guy fights & things like this people would be remembering.

Boxing puts on fights right now, the UFC puts on events. Imagine a boxing event like that. Jacobs vs Quillin might be the co-main at best. And Errol Spence vs Sammy Vazquez would be on the card & about 8 or so other competitive matchups from the top guys to the journeymen to the prospects. The UFC puts on competitive 50/50ish type fights up & down their cards. I've never seen a boxing card like that since I've been watching the sport. I think fans would love that & it'd probably eventually bring in new fans & bring some old fans back.

I probably would. Pay for Showtime, HBO, and quite a few ppvs a year, not to mention the Latino package, wealth TV and Be in sports. Might as well add a PBC channel. Haha

I agree completely with you on this.
I like PBC and for the most part they put on good fights. But they're inconsistency IMO co tributes to their low ratings.

UFC has like 400 fighters, yet there are over 10,000 pro boxers, and thats only the ones who have fought in the last 12 months. To think that a UFC style system is possible for that many fighters is simply ******ed.

But whats even funnier is the "but but but free tv doe" crowd saying they would support a pay subscription model, when their main rallying cry for PBC was that "it free doe"

                  LOL

pbc should should keep doing what its doing, have more big fights on nbc epsn, etc. then the really big fights on ppv. maybe 2 or 3 ppvs a year and stack the card with at least 2 or 3 elite matchups.

Maybe I'm too jaded when it comes to UFC cards, but I don't see 50/50ish type fights stacking their cards (see any card Ronda Rousey was on besides the last one). I see them, usually, at the top of cards but they're just as much in the business of building stars as boxing is and are fine with keeping around (and resigning) journeymen types like Josh Burkman and Chris Camozzi to make their stars look good and I don't see exceptional monthly cards. I've seen cards with Demetrious Johnson, Anderson Silva or Ronda Rousey headlining vs random dude/chick who has less than no chance to win. And there is no way I can believe that, in that model, a fight like Jacobs - Quillin, for boxing, wouldn't have been THE headliner. I see maybe 1-2 TRULY interesting cards out of about 5-6 and there's a ppv every month.

And "boxing puts on fights, the UFC puts on events"? I think you're giving them way too much credit and not giving boxing enough. I love MMA, I've been watching it for more than 20 years (and I'm REALLY excited to see the Barboza-Ferguson fight that went on while I was watching the other card), been watching boxing for about 30 but I don't at all agree that the 'in-house' model which has worked in that sport can apply to boxing. It was easier for them, it was a newer sport and they branded it. I like the PBC and hope they continue and grow, but you can't suddenly brand a sport which had been around 2-300 years before you came along.
