Golovkin's closing window of opportunity
Collapse

Bit of a difference between Mayweather & Hopkins, one is a contender at 50, the other is 38.
Does Golovkin have the potential to still be one of the best MWs at 38 (4 years time), yes.
Do I think he will be? probably not, odds are against it.Last edited by Weebler I; 12-11-2015, 04:28 PM.Comment

Its not so easy to predict who's gonna fall off quicker than age than others. I'd guess GGG gots a solid 2-3yrs left (36-37yrs) worst case.Comment

Boxers that ducked/ducking GGG
1---Felix sturm - wouldn't fight him for over 2 years when GGG was mandatory.
2---Peter quillin - said he will only fight for the may-pac kind of money, lol + he flew to Haymon to avoid GGG
3---Sergio martinez - "His promoter said that "no way I am putting him with this monster", GGG kept calling him out after his U.S. debut after every fight
4---Hassaan ndam njikam -When Hassaan was WBO champ, he was ordered to a purse bid to face Golovkin no less than two times and he was a no show each time.
5---Miguel cotto - didn't want to fight him despite being mandatory.
6---Julio cesar chavez jr - Turned down 12mil offer by TR
7---Saul alvarez - Thinks that he is fighting at the weight-class of 155, as there is no such thing as a "155 weight-class" ,he is pretending to be not in the MW division because of GGG.There are 17 divisions just pick one, if you can't make 154 then you are a MW, simple.
8---Carl froch - After calling GGG out then when GGG accepted ,he backed down and now he is retired after making all the fuss, GGG was calling him for more than a year so no excuses for "retiring".
9---Andrea Ward. The diva of the 168lb division don't want to travel or meet the a-side GGG in a catchweight so he can become a good boy and get ktfo. Was willing to goto 160 for Floyd but when GGG said 164, Ward ducked.+ he was fine when Dawson came down a whole division for him but wont move half a division for GGG, smh
10---Sebastian Sylvester - When Sylvester was IBF champ, he ducked GGG blatantly
11---Darren Barker - When Barker defeated Geale to become IBF champ, his promoter openly said that Barker will fight any1 except GGGComment

Ward and Froch don't belong to that list, though.Comment

I agreed about Ward, hes just being an *******. I'm onto Froch ducking GGG now. He knows hes in for an asskicking if he laces up. I would've been fine when Froch would've stay shut up and just say Im retired. But now hes like a nun talking about coc ks all the time!!!Comment

R u fking kidding urself, seems u r son. Just about every answer u spew is just that. Fk off with Lara, the dude hasnt touch a mw. Hes a cat clawing at a pitbull on the other side of the fence son. He hasnt done half at his weight to what GGG has done at mw. STop it with ur bs. N no, mw isn't the worst division in boxing, GGG just make it look bad, hes just head and shoulder above the rest...Fighters go up n down cuz they outgrow their division moron...or they get kicked out of it, like GGG did to Quacken n Murray n macklin...or they move down to fight for money like hopkins vs odlh...heres a bottleLara will fight him at MW. Otherwise, MW is horrible right now. If he wants challenges he needs to go a few lbs up or down. Fighters have done this for decades. As I said though, he has no ambition. If he wants to stay at MW, fine, but he'll have no legacy because the division is thin and it's unlikely to change before he gets old (which is only a couple years away).
It's not bashing, it's just the hard reality of the situation.
