So Canelo basically lied after the Cotto fight when he said he was ready. What he meant is Ill be ready in 9 months.

We don't know what's gonna happen. If Canelo fights someone else with the title, it will be because GGG allowed him.

I wouldn't have unless I got something back, because what if Canelo gets beat, then it's back to square one.

GGG will again have no name for 2016

and cono will have a decent name

If rumors are true (considering that Goldenboy owned Ring Mag has put GGG and Canelo on the cover) then it sounds like GGG will have a huge name in 2016.

I don't think it necessarily means that GGG has agreed. It could just be that WBC decided to bow to Canelo's financial power and GGG had no choice but to go along with it. His only alternative course of action would be to sue WBC and there are many reasons why they might now want to do that.

I have no problem with Canelo fighting one fight to get used to 160 before GGG. Hopefully that's the plan.

There was another similar article on boxing news 24, about three days ago.

"Golovkin: I’m ready to fight whether it’s Canelo or a different opponent"

It reads: "Once a sanctioning body starts allowing their champions to force catch-weight fights for all of their fights, then it kind of makes a mockery of the whole idea of defined weight classes. If a champion can come up with catch-weights for all of their title defenses, then you might as well not even have weight classes because it would be anarchy and chaos at that point."

Why move up when you have enough influence to create your own weight class. These days boxing is more about financial gain that risk taking.
