I don't think Oscar/GBP was the owner then. Maybe. Even if they were, I have no issue with Pacquiao being Fighter of the Decade although a strong case can be made for Mayweather certainly. But their careers didn't begin or end in that one decade so you look at their complete body of work. Yes, Pacquiao edged Mayweather during that span. Not by much. Overall though, Mayweather has the better resume and will go down as the greater fighter. Already has.

I never said Floyd wasn't great. Show me where u said that? Floyd is held to a higher standard because of his skill. GGG should fight Ward at 168 once he moves up. He would have already moved up had cott fought him last year but we all see why he ducked him. GGG needs that big name big reward fight t cross over just like both PAC and Floyd needed Oscar. Problem is the two big name big reward fights for GGG are reluctant to fight him wher as Oscar didn't mind.

Back to the topic again Floyd yes you did hange the game for future fighters but it's costing us fans because now most boxers want that low risk high reward patch. Great for boxers sucks for us fans

The thing is Floyd had to go to 154 for the first time to make the fight! Oscar was huge but Floyd had to take a risk to cross over as well as Pac! GGG doesn't want to take the risk! All he had to do was move up, beat Ward and come down! Just like what Ward is trying to do by moving upto face Krusher so he can cross over! GGG has taken no risk! there is definitley more attention to guys at the lower weights. Oscar had a big hand in that as well and the lack of a U.S heavyweight champ helped matters. Pacs big run in floyds absence brought even more fans back. your a fool if you think the landscape hasnt changed in the last 15 yrs of boxing. Some of our favorite fighters are finally getting the type of money they deserve from putting their bodies on the line for our entertainment.

Your a fool to believe Mayweather was any bigger in popularity than ANY of his top selling fights opponents. His opponents are what made his fights and Oscar made Jr.

You think people weren't watching the lower weight classes prior to Jr? The only reason there was MORE attention these days is because the heavyweight division blows. There was plenty of attention on them in the past if you by the history of the sport, and the mere fact that there is practically no heavyweight division anymore is why people turned their wallets towards lower weight class PPVs and focused on the fighters down below.

It's silly to try to pin down someone's resume on one thing. What elite prime HOF fighter did Julio Cesar Chavez beat? Vernon Forrest beat a HOF'er in Mosley while he was at his peak. Is he an all-time great? Better than Floyd?

Second, Morales wasn't in his prime when Pacquiao fought him and it's arguable Pacquiao ever beat Marquez. But I'm not downplaying them, just pointing out a flaw in the argument. Those are great wins and performances for Pacquiao (except the Morales rematches). A fighter is judged by his full body of work.
