He fought and beat the best fighter at 135. He fought and beat one of the best fighters at 140 (Gatti) and called out the other top fighters at 140 (Hatton and Cotto's handlers turned down a Mayweather fight at 140 and Kostya Tyszu was fighting exclusively on Showtime). He also fought and beat the best fighters at 147 (Judah and Baldomir at one time) and later Hatton and Mosley and the best at 154 (De La Hoya, Cotto and Alvarez).

Today's fighters should emulate Mayweather's example of fighting the best fighters in their weight classes. Unfortunately, virtually all of today's fighters are focused only on money and not the desire to fight the best competition. The only exception to this rule of money is everything, nothing else matters mentality that fighters have today are Alvarez and Cotto.
    imagine watching two Floyd's fighting...

both waited 6 years for each other to fade..

Fighting him-he undefeated doe he has a belt doe
GGG is ducking Ward and once GGG moves up he will fight degaele no problem then when GGG murks him you will cry that he was a bum.
PAC is way too small that was obvious in the Floyd fight. Floyd looked like a me compared t packy.
Get your sh it straight man.
When was the last time Floyd was really the bigger fighter in the ring? So GGG can call out Froch but doesn't have to fight Ward and Gale and whoever else until he decides to move up right. He can fight Froch at 168 but Ward has to come down to 164 right? I don't even think Gale beats GGG but I think it's competitive! But GGG want to unify the belts doe!!!! Lol do you see the Irony? Lol Floyd Resume ****s on Pac resume hands down! Especially since he on it!! SMH You know Floyd is great because it seems that he is held to a standard that no other fighter is!!

why BWAA forget making " Best Resume Award" if it's so important?

You Floyd fanboys like to give Floyd credit for what you criticize in other boxers.

I never said Floyd wasn't great. Show me where u said that? Floyd is held to a higher standard because of his skill. GGG should fight Ward at 168 once he moves up. He would have already moved up had cott fought him last year but we all see why he ducked him. GGG needs that big name big reward fight t cross over just like both PAC and Floyd needed Oscar. Problem is the two big name big reward fights for GGG are reluctant to fight him wher as Oscar didn't mind.

Back to the topic again Floyd yes you did hange the game for future fighters but it's costing us fans because now most boxers want that low risk high reward patch. Great for boxers sucks for us fans
