the entire featherweight division is ducking verdejo. the entire featherweight division is ducking the lightweight division. why do we even need weight classes anymore? it's just preventing fights from taking place. A+ thread, i totally concur and value your opinion.

How could he possibly be ducking Verdejo? Verdejo is fighting 2 weight classes above him. This doesn't make much sense honestly.

Him and his team have shown absolutely no interest in the Walters fight though and used him not having the belt anymore as an excuse, i don't give a damn about no damn belts, Walters IS the best or at least second best guy in the division. Loma's manager also said they will never face Walters at any weight because he will always be bigger than Lomachenko, which is absolute bologna, this is like Floyd Mayweather not fighting Diego Corrales because he's too big, if the fighter made the weight that's all what matters, if he he missed weight u have the right to call the fight off.

It certainly feels like he's becoming another promising guy who will do nothing meaningful for years. Why go for the glory when you can just ride the hype?
Hope they book a decent fight for him soon.

He's not ducking. He's just sitting there in the FW division with his thumb up his ass with no one of significance to fight because the best fighters in the division are with Haymon. He won't move up to fight Walters. He won't meet Rigo at a catchweight. I don't recall his manager saying they'll never fight Walters but it wouldn't surprise me because his manager is Egis Klimas.
