Boxrec is crazy, I don't use it for rankings, I actually completely ignore it. But if anyone ranking system were to put Canelo over Golovkin I would applaud it. Canelo does have better wins. Golovkin wins in better fashion, albeit versus worse opposition. Which is what P4P rankings go by now, HOW you look and win rather WHO you beat. If we are talking about who you beat, it would actually be nuts to put Golovkin over Canelo. The guy GGG has a novice resume, Canelo has a veteran resume.
I don't mind the division ranking on boxrec, they are generally pretty decent although there are odd issues where certain counties (like South African welterweights) have an insulated group that fights among themselves and have inflated numbers based on those fights.
P4P is just a bridge too far for their ranking system, it is totally subjective and can not be done by formula.
