Comments Thread For: Glazkov-Martin Fast-Tracked To 12/18 IBF Purse Bid

The battle for the vacant IBF heavyweight title is being expedited.

According to Egis Klimas, manager of IBF number one rated Vyacheslav "Czar" Glazkov (21-0-1, 13KOs), the handlers of number four rated Charles Martin (22-0-1, 20KOs) are not interested in negotiating, and because of that the IBF has now set a purse bid for December 18th. Initially the IBF had given both sides until January 8th.

Duva clearly bought the title. Why even bother with the purse bids and fight etc? Just name Glazkov "Champion" already and let him get in line for a real fight or jump on the Turd Circuit and fool the people who dont know any better

The fact there are 4 "world" title belts have been "killing" the sport for longer than this issue. No need to be dramatic about this one straw on the camels back. The fact the industry is setup in a way to load straws onto the camels back all day is the bigger problem.

Fans' respect for these four belts and their persistent desire to see a unified champion isn't helping either. Attitudes need to change.

Obviously, Klitschko Team were good at managing titles and Fury Team amateurs. Why Team Tyson give options as manadatory?? That's the real foolishness here in my opinion

Nah not really. Fury will make so much more money in a rematch then in defending the IBF title. Once you beat Klitschko, which specific title you hold is irrelevant, you become THE heavyweight Champ.
