Look at this armchair expert. You clearly didn't bother reading the article I provided in my previous post, otherwise you wouldn't be on here looking like an idiot. There's even a book published by The Board Institute of Medicine (people who are a lot smarter than you) on the performance enhancing effects of protein, but your wee little brain already contains a vast amounts of knowledge concerning this subject, right?

If you're content with being a dumbass, then so be it. Ignorance is bliss I suppose.

You're the one looking dumb. You singled out protein shakes as "performance enhancing" like it's something special, when it's effects are no different than eating chicken.

Spoken like a true armchair expert. You should share your wealth of knowledge about protein with the great minds at the Board Institute of Medicine, it might lead to a scientific breakthrough.

I'm sure they already know that chicken contains high amounts of protein, now you do too. You're welcome.

They also know that protein is a performance enhancing supplement. I think they need a lesson from the all-knowing armchair expert.

Oh so now it's "protein" not just "protein shakes" that are performance enhancing, i'm pleased you have learned that protein shakes aren't special.

Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber... The protein in a protein shake (specifically whey) has a faster absorption rate than the protein in a chicken breast, or a cut of steak. This is what makes it "special", for lack of a better word.

                    • You guys are talking about those protein shakes, as in those shakes that the whole boxing community was making jokes about Ariza not rocking them anymore for Pac and no more KOs. Those shakes?

Jokes aside, conditioning with some dope or special shakes must have some benefit in overall performance when training for a bout. You need that special energy to keep pushing up until fight night
