assuming Jacobs would want at least $1.5, then Al would have to bid $6 million to make that happen. Or I suppose he could bid $2 million and agree to pay Jacobs and extra million on the side. But I doubt he would risk losing the bid.
The only question would be if Haymon would actually go through with the fight, or pull another Quillin-Korobov and vacate.Comment

And why not? Go big and force HBO to keep their guy on their channel. Both guys get paid and Al doenst pay and if not PBC gets a big fight.assuming Jacobs would want at least $1.5, then Al would have to bid $6 million to make that happen. Or I suppose he could bid $2 million and agree to pay Jacobs and extra million on the side. But I doubt he would risk losing the bid.

Win win for PBC and AlComment

Canelo too...he spent a long time feasting on junior welterweights and welterweights at the super welterweight limit
there always comes a time in a fighters career when its time to put up or shut up....in GGG's case that time is now....his team and his fans have him on a level that he hasn't proven he belongs or earned.
He is not a top ten p4p fighter in my book.....Imagine if Chocolatito or Kovalev was fighting his level of comp.....they'd have people thinking they were watching the greatest flyweight and lightheavyweight of all time...but these two unlike GGG have shown they can run through world class and elite competition....GGG hasn't yetComment

You mention Floyd, Manny, Cotto, Canelo, and BHOP, which is funny because the biggest thing, "getting ****ed" over for that you fail to mention once is the $$$ involved. Ward doesn't even scratch the level of $$$ offered by these guys. You're asking GGG to, "get ****ed" by a bigger guy who offers no $$$ that compares. Seriously? Please name a risky fighter (when moving up in weight) that Manny or Floyd ever fought that was a low pay/high risk fight. I'll wait.dude, stop crying FFS. A lot of boxers were in position to get f-cked but they overcame it and won. If GGG can do it like them only then does he deserve to be held in the same regard.
You and some of his fans want all of us to treat him like an ATG when he hasn't earned it.
Its disgusting, and shows a complete lack of historical knowledge of the sport, that you and others think GGG is somehow being treated differently.
Yeah, he may get f-cked a lil bit. Boo f-cking hoo. Go cry to Kov, who got shorted in England against Bellew. Ask Floyd or Manny, when ODH took a sh-tload of the dough for himself. Ask Larry Holmes when he had to split 50/50 with Cooney just because he was the GWH. Ask Bhop, who had to go to 157 for ODH, or sweet pea who fought chavez at 145. Ask Cotto or Canelo.
You need more examples?
GTFOH and stop this incessant whining and crying about GGG being made to go through the same thing that countless others have.
You're probably the a part of the same group of people that never once mentioned Lara vs fighting Floyd, yet, you'll turn around and scream GGG is a , "disgusting coward" for trying to fight Froch/Chavez Jr. and not Ward. Neglecting the fact that Froch and Chavez Jr. (mostly just Froch) are respectable fighters in their own right.Comment

at least broner had the balls to fight in 4 divisions by the age of 25....GGG is a decade older and wont go up 8 freaking pounds.....Broner has fought people ranging 130-147
What broner did was equivalent to GGG fighting a top lightheavyweight when Broner skipped 140 and fought at 147...against one of the divisons biggest punchers at that......almost like ggg GOING AFTER KOVALEVComment

Great post. But you're arguing with some of the worst fanboys on the forum. That's great, but the issue is that most of 'you' live in a dream world. In your eyes, the only way for Golovkin to 'prove' himself is to f$cked over one way or another.
You want him to fight Ward? Great, he's gonna give up 3 inches, 20 lbs, must do it NOW (apparently) but still has to wait for Ward's tuneups.
You want him to be the first fighter in 10+ years to unify MW? Great, he should bend over backwards and get drained 5 lbs. If he unifies MW at 160 it's unfair.
You want him to give up all his dreams and fight DeGale? Excellent. Are you gonna make a phone call to Haymon to see how that negotiation is gonna go?
Assuming Haymon is ok with putting his protection services on hold and letting someone (Degale/Lara/Quillin/Jacobs) fight Golovkin, you want GGG to put his relationship with HBO in jeopardy for that fight? And then end up with nothing after HBO cuts their ties with him?
You think that Golovkin's mandatory status vs. Canelo doesn't mean anything 'bc who cares about them belts', but you think that he should be stripped if WBA makes Jacobs their mandatory? It's only fair, right?
I'm not saying you're the one who has argued for all of these points, but ALL of these (and other ridiculous nonsense) are widely spread on NSB for why Golovkin is overrated, yadda yadda yadda.Comment

sorry, but cherrypicking weak opponents across divisions doesnt impress me. It would be the same as if GGG went to 168 and beat Elvin Ayala. 100% MEANINGLESSat least broner had the balls to fight in 4 divisions by the age of 25....GGG is a decade older and wont go up 8 freaking pounds.....Broner has fought people ranging 130-147
