Nobody think it was a questionable stoppage? I mean, he did look like he was done...but he was still standing and stopped wobbling...lol. i didn't have a dog in the this fight, so it didn't matter, but i was pretty amazed at Jacobs attack.

Most doubters of Jacobs questioned his seemingly fragile chin and he didn't really prove that wasn't going to be an issue in the future
Jacob's chin is not what I doubted in him before, it was his inability to keep focus. He is a front runner, and there were times in his past where if he did not have things his way, he would start thinking and hesitating too much. The Pirog fight, that right hand was perfect and could have dropped anyone. The problem for Jacobs was he should not have gotten hit that cleanly. Jacobs might not have a strong chin, but neither did Terry Norris and he had a fine career.

The Truax fight showed me he has grown quite a bit. It showed me he could maintain focus over the long haul. That is where I said to myself this guy can make a name for himself. I don't consider the Mora knockdown as anything severe, he got hit by a punch he never saw coming and was not even hurt by it, more just embarrassed. Now that is not to say he has to be careful, he has to, but he still can make a name for himself.

I wasn't entirely convinced after a poor showing in his last fight but he's won me over. Still rate GGG and Lee ahead of him and Eubank Jr is a dark horse imo.

This guy got dropped by Mora...he knows to stay away from Triple G... and Canelo won't risk fighting this guy when he can hide out at catch weights...actually...on second though..Canelo's chin holds up to Jacobs early onslaught and Canelo washes Jacobs easily too kind of like Kirkland..

So yeah a Lee/Saunders fight or rematch is clearly in the cards...

I still say yes and no

He was the better technical boxer going into the fight and while he did a great job of dispatching of Quillen it was in less than a round and he faced no resistance , sounds strange but if it had went a few more rounds and he showed he could navigate through things if hurt or just stick to a gameplan against someone who was live then I'd be more convinced , but this is a very good start to proving his merit

Well like Terry Norris, if he can end the show quickly and not have to answer those questions, it is still good. He is far from perfect, but I like this guy. His heart is pure slugger. Now that part will cost him at some point, but who cares. He is fun to watch and made Quillin cross-eyed, which I am so happy about LOL

His father used to post here. Spoke to him a bunch of times. Danny grew up in the hood and always had his eyes on stardom. Great to see a guy like that make it.
